Upon checking in the male (Juan) was too distracted flirting with the girls up front. He’s a poor communicator and should’ve be working in guest service. Rude and dismissive - looks like he’s 16 and acts like it too. We asked to get our luggage from the bus boy only to wait downstairs with zero communication. We then got ONE key for the room (2 adult women occupied it) only to come up to the 6th floor and have the key NOT work. Thankfully there was a cleaning lady who opened the door after she heard me complaining to my mom. My mom then tries to use the bathroom only to have the toilet overflow with water when she flushed it. Again we told front desk but nobody came up to check it out. So basically these past 3 days we’ve had to be very careful with pooping since the toilet doesn’t flush properly. Gross if you ask me. Lastly, the food wasn’t the best quality and they often ran out of things such as ice. Being my mother is diabetic and they DO NOT offer a fridge she needs her insulin in ice, another inconvenience. Let me end by saying I decided to book this room because I stayed here a couple years back and the service was great not to mention the room I had previously. This is NOT under good management. I will not be returning.

Every minute of our 5 day stay was wonderful. The front desk staff were amazing. The housekeeping staff were wonderful too. So convenient having such a good restaurant on the premise, with such friendly wait staff. Everyone one was warm and friendly and made our stay a memorable one.

Great & friendly service, rooms were comfortable and clean, excellent location and very convenient to get to tourist sites, metro & food. Pharmacy and 7/11 nearby which is helpful. Very good place to stay in if you want to explore the historical centre of Mexico City.

The place was fairly closed to the zocalo walking distance I like that. The room was very small but I guess fair enough for the price. It was a good experience overall.

The Hotel Catedral is perfectly located to see sights in the historic district. The beds are comfy and the staff exceptionally nice. The rooms are a bit dated, though. A downside to all hotels in the area is that the traffic is horrendous and streets are packed. Might be better to stay in a neighborhood with more charm and sweep in to see sights in this district. But if this is the area you want to stay in, then the Hotel Catedral is an excellent value.

The hotel was very very clean and the staff was really friendly and polite. Loved that I didn't need to worry about a place to eat. Their buffet and restaurant were both delicious. Our defiantly book here again

So convenient to the zocalo. Lively street scene is just a block away. The only caveat is the wifi was very spotty in our room.

Very nice place, very good service, very good food, very conveniently close to a few visitor places like the ZOCALO, safe to walk around, and many shopping places around, all at a walking distance. The attention to the guest is very special, they even have chips, cookies, coffee, and fresh delicious sweet wavas, loved them. The only things I didn't like were that, there were a few homesless people sleeping on the street close to the hotel, And the rooms are high tech to the point that your room will be always warm because the AC and lights are controlled by the key card that 30 seconds later after removed from the control dock, every thing is turned off, and the AC as many changes you do to it our room was too warm we were hot, for the three days we stayed, The other thing I didn't like was that the restaurant at the entrance the only one time we tried to get in to eat there, I was given a weird look by the host as I was not dressed formal, but casual, so I felt the regection and we left to eat outside. Over all rating would be a 5 star if it wasn't because the host and the AC. Distance to the airport is about 20 minutes by taxi. Prices are accomodating, I suggest renting the toom including breakfast as it is phenomenal.
