We had a fabulous experience staying at totem. The rooms were beautiful, the food and drinks were excellent, the beach was pristine and the service was outstanding. Luxurious and relaxing haven!

This is a great superchill beach club for the area. During the week you can have the place almost to yourself, with more families and kids on the weekend.

I recently spent three days at this hotel while travelling in Mexico for a wedding in late February. When I first arrived, the staff took me to my room, which was on the ground level and situated amongst several tables. Numerous people were sitting at the tables directly outside the room. The rooms face the ocean and are sheer glass such that when the curtains are open, the rooms are completely visible. When I raised this with the staff, they informed me they were fully booked, and there was no option for me to stay elsewhere. As I had driven so far that day and had prepaid for my room I felt that I had limited options and attempted to settle into my room. I then went to the front desk and informed them that I could not stay the two nights at which time she showed me to the room on the second floor (after she said me that they were fully booked). The second room was absolutely stunning with gorgeous views of the sunset two beautiful beds and a lovely bathroom. The hotel has only 4 rooms available but is a beach club during the day such that members of the beach club use the pool and facilities. Dance music blares all day long from 11-7 and totally takes away from the experience of this beautiful place. I am plant-based and there was limited options on the restaurant menu although what I had was lovely. This is a beautiful place however, if you’re looking for a quiet beach front getaway, you might want to consider going somewhere else

The property is beautiful, the staff lovely, food delicious and the rooms clean and comfortable. The issue is the Expedia description seems misleading. When I booked the room it said 3 king beds. There was 1 king bed and 1 twin when we arrived. I had tried to contact the property several times to clarify this with no answer. The bathrooms and showers are shared with the beach club, but are very clean. I wish the booking showed photos of the shared facilities because it may deter guests without. I would most definitely stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights in early March as I was in Mexico for a wedding. My original room was on the ground floor adjacent to the outdoor dining area. As the west facing wall is sheer glass, the room is completely visible to the outside when the drapes are open. Restaurant patrons were sitting directly outside my room, such that everyone could look inside and I had no privacy. When I raised this concern with the staff, she informed me they were fully booked. I tried to settle into the room and realized there was no way that I could stay shuttered inside this room, attempting to have some semblance of privacy. I then went to the front desk to inform her I could not stay longer than one night as a female solo traveller I felt on display in this room. She then showed me to the second floor, which was a dramatic improvement and an absolutely beautiful room. (Despite being “full”) The hotel pools and beachfront location are stunning. However, during the day it is a beach club such that from 11 AM to 7 PM dance music blares over the speakers and the grounds are full of beach club members. There is no escaping the music and there is no possibility of relaxing whatsoever. I am plant-based and had limited options on the restaurant menu although I did enjoy the items I was able to have. Staff were also very lovely. The view of the sunset is unbelievable however, if you’re looking for a quiet place to enjoy the beach, this is not where you want to.

Totem Beach Club is gorgeous . Very trendy vibe . Many places to sit and watch the ocean . Easy to walk to activities and the center . I give it a lower rating because of the room. There was no bathroom in the room and no sink . Which can be very difficult at night especially for older people and little ones . The room didn’t have a writing desk. No coffee maker - the restaurant doesn’t open until 11:am. No tissue . It is about 15-20 minutes walking to the center for coffee and breakfast .Doable of course . I wish this Beach club the best of luck on their projects . If there was these amenities in the room I would book here again.

Lei los comentarios previos y me daba miedo fueran cierto, tanto los de Facebook cómo los de Google y de esta página. A mí me encantó el hotel, la atención al cliente 10/10. Tuve un detalle un día antes de hacer check in, tuve infección en mi ojo y me prohibieron alberca. El personal se porto tan amable con mi reserva y seguimiento para reagendar otra fecha. En todo momento su atención fue excelente y respuesta. El olor de la habitación delicioso, el café y el baño increíble. No entiendo porque tiene baja calificación. Las albercas limpias,la comida muy deliciosa y la playa increíble. Único detalle algunas moscas pero es algo que al haber mariscos las atrae. Definitivamente regreso y lo recomendaré.
