The property was very comfortable & welcoming for 3 adults, a child & a small dog. It was lovely to have milk & juice left in the fridge to welcome us. The beds & furniture were comfortable, however, on entering the lounge, the fabric lounge furniture & carpet smelled extremely musty & caused the child's asthma to worsen. A steam clean is urgently suggested. There is no hotplate in the kitchenette & only 1 very small lidded microwave container. The crockery cannot go in the microwave as it has a gold metallic rim, so a larger microwave safe cooking container is needed. The only other cooking method is a large electric frypan. A grabrail would be helpful as the shower is in the deep spa bath. Better lighting on winding pathways would be helpful for dark rainy evenings. The property is close to Yarra Glen Village but there is really only a small bakery (till 2.30), IGA, fish & chip shop & hotel for food there.

We absolutely loved our stay - the apartment was just beautiful and so cosy and warm. The property itself was beautiful to walk around and you are a stones throw from some of the incredible wineries the Yarra Valley has to offer. I was lucky enough to get engaged at Holly Mews and we were so welcomed and made to feel so special. We would LOVE to come back and will definitely look at booking again on our next trip to the Yarra Valley. Wonderful little getaway location! Highly recommended!

We rented a 2 bed room Apartment for 3 days . It was well presented and very comfortable. Situated on a working property it was very quiet with lovely gardens. The Owner, Joanne ,went out of her way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. On our arrival our Apartment had a gift of biscuits plus enough food for breakfast . We then stocked up at Yarra Glen. We were very happy with our stay and would certainly return there again. Jeremy, Port Fairy.

Quaintly a little old fashioned

Holly Lane Mews was a little further from the town than we expected but it was still a lovely stay out on a working farm, surrounded by cows, birds and a symphony of frogs in the evening. The room (Cream Queen Room) and bathroom was quite old fashioned but comfortable. Breakfast (Continental) was left in the refrigerator for us and it was more than adequate. Joanne was exceptionally helpful and kindly did some washing for us. The bath/shower was a little interesting as it had no shower curtain so care needs to be taken when getting in and out of the bath as the floor does get wet. Walking around the gardens is beautiful with so much to see and enjoy.

Coloured water

Overall, had a good stay there. Water was brown but there was a note saying it is safe to use and spa in the bath was a bit fiddly. Bedding was really comfy and clean and view from room was majestic. We were provided generous amounts of milk and cereal with complimentary fruits and juice.

One of the few pet friendly properties around. Nestled in a beautiful gardens setting on a small working farm, the owners have encouraged wildlife to flourish and Birdlife and or amphibious friends are in abundance. Fantastic wineries just around the corner. Easy drive to Yarra Glen for supplies... Overall lovely experience.

What a fantastic stay! What a great, peaceful location and so much to keep the kids (and parents) entertained. Snow, food, wine, cows, horses, kangaroos and of course Billie the Wombat!
