"I stayed one night at this hotel in Porto. At first glance, both the hotel and the room look very nice, and this impression was confirmed upon arrival. However, several important issues significantly affected my experience. First of all, cleanliness was clearly lacking. It felt like the room had not been properly cleaned: there was dust almost everywhere, visible marks on the walls and on the trash bin, as well as signs of mold in some hidden areas. The most problematic point was the bathroom. When taking a shower, the water did not drain properly, and the floor drain seemed clogged with a significant buildup of dirt, which was very unpleasant. In addition, the shower head was in poor condition. Finally, the sound insulation is not adequate. A lot of outside noise could be heard, which negatively impacted comfort and rest. Overall, the hotel has real potential in terms of design and appearance, but significant improvements are needed regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and facilities to meet expectations."

"Everything was perfect, the staff on reception were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. We had a massage on the day we checked out and Tiago extended our check out time which was extremely kind and very useful to us, so thank you Tiago and all the staff at the Catalonia Hotel."

"Lovely clean room, big and in a great location for the city. Greeted with drinks on arrival and taken to our room was a nice touch! The train was easy enough from the airport but it was much easier to get a cheap uber and with the good location, we’d recommend this. As for the rest of the city, you’re close by transport but it’s incredibly walkable! One annoying thing was the coffee in the room- this wasn’t filled up properly each day so we had to go out to buy this… not sure why you would only provide 1 milk per couple anyway and then one day it wasn’t filled at all! The rooftop was also lovely and we went up for drinks each day - it’s a shame they didn’t do an earlier brunch as we would have gone before the airport! Sure it’s absolutely gorgeous in Summer with a bit more sun! Would definitely recommend for a weekend away! "

"It is really a 5 star hotel. Everything was excellent, rooms, staff, service…etc. Location was a little far from the busy streets and shops but not bad, about 10-15 minutes walk. Highly recommend. "
