The exterior of the building is in dire need of a facelift for the location. The bar and restaurant are closed indefinitely. The front desk staff was very friendly at check in however it took2 hours to get another set of towels from room service. "

"I was apprehensive when I first started my stay at The Virginia Lodge. The marquis sign is missing light bulbs that reminds one of "missing teeth." Weeds grow from cracks in the parking lot and the base of buildings. My room needed a paint job as do the buildings outside. But as my stay progressed, I was impressed with the amenities provided. There is a microwave, refrigerator, cable TV and WIFI (though I did not use its WIFI). It's a pretty good value for the $62-69 per night stay that Expedia charged. Were it not for lack of property upkeep, The Virginia Lodge would be on par with the Holiday Inn."

"Hotel was good, but I didn't like the fact that after driving hours, so much traffic around, the room wasn't ready. Didn't appreciate the way the lady talked to me. I understand that there is so much to do in a hotel, but I'm not responsible. It's a valet parking only, but when you can't park in front of the hotel, what can you do ? It was too much for me sorry."
