Wonderful stay

This is the best hotel we've stayed at in a long time. We travel many times theiugh the year to visit our children and grandchildren. We have to drive far toi see our elderly moms who sometimes are vety ill. The hotel and our room was clean and the staff was very friendly. We will definitely stay there again when we come to visit our family.

The property is great. Very nice hotel. Drury Inn corporate staff gotta wonder what they are thinking. Closing Sugarland and Woodlands locations and now McAllen. Leaves Drury only in the Dallas and San Antonio areas. Surprising with how nice the hotels are and the large population and great staff. Going to stop giving my business to them as closing too many locations in East and south TX.

What I wanted to bring to people's attention is the size of the bathroom. I had seen other people mention it in reviews but it's not until you get there that you realize the bathroom is extremely limited in size because the door opens inward. As a result of the door opening inward it's almost touches the tub and then to close the door you have the toilet right behind you and unless you're a very thin person that door barely misses rubbing against your body because you're pressed up against the toilet. what we ended up doing was just using the bathroom with the door open which unfortunately was not very pleasant. The dinner in my opinion absolutely sucked. I know it's hotel it failed for me. The hot breakfast was good. The last thing I wanted to bring to the attention of hopefully management reading this was that the drinks offered during happy hour because if they happened to be made with soda the soda was flat which made the whole drink unappealing and the fountain machine for the sodas that was available to guests also needed the correct carbonation because every single soda tasted flat. The staff was quiet and courteous but not exactly customer service oriented. They did the minimum, which in my opinion affects the welcomeness of the hotel. The rooms bedding was clean and I appreciate it that.
