The room really needed an over haul. Chairs were falling apart, deck chairs were painted white plastic chairs and the paint came off on us. The door lock on our balcony was broken as well as our front door. The roof needed a paint and the ceiling fan seemed to be barly holding on as it spun around with the noise of an airplane propeller. The bathroom was pretty ruff with som black mold on the glass door. The photos really looked much better then reality which was disappointing.
There was alot of construction going on to update the hotel so it did feel like we were in a construction zone. We were forced off our balcony multiple times from paint fumes as the exterior ocean view rooms were being painted.
The beach front restaurant had tiny portions and high prices, we found the local restaurants much more reasonable and diverse.
There was a substantial amount of road traffic noise that goes all night so earplugs are a must.
The room was terrible but the staff were lovely and did the best they could.
Location was great for beach walks. If we were to return I would book a partial ocean view room as they were in a newer building closer to the ocean.
