"I have not been to many properties in Matheran, but I would say this is an ideal property for a fun vacation it is located over from the hustle and bustle of the city and you feel like you’re in the quiet hills cottage. The property is old, but very well preserved and staff is very courteous and very helpful. "Hotel was undergoing renovation and hence a bit messy. Front desk staff is excellent. They do not allow guest to cut queue and politely ask them to wait their turn. Breakfast is alright and service is good. They remember your selection on your second visit and will deliver it to your table. Had dinner at the cafe on the second floor. Food is good and so is the service. Bed is comfortable but the floor is a bit sticky so did not try to go barefoot. Generally housekeeping is good. "
