「Great location between Florence and Pisa. Also only a 5 minute walk to the train station that will take you to both cities. Great place to stay if looking for something quite and away from the crowds.」

「This place is a bit further out from Pisa, but we still had a really nice stay and made the most of it. It’s great value for money, which was a big plus. The hotel itself is a little old-fashioned, but honestly, the staff more than made up for it—they were super friendly and welcoming the whole time. The restaurant was also a highlight, with really tasty food that we enjoyed a lot. It’s a good spot if you’ve got a car and want to explore the nearby villages and surrounding area.」

The history of the villa is incredible and even more interesting that it is still with the original family. A huge sense of pride and passion is palpable from the current owners. Breakfast on the loggie and drinks in the garden was awesome.」

「The check in process is truly dreadful. Very small print on the Expedia booking instructing the person booking to contact the proprietor 48 hours before arrival as they don’t have a reception. Why on earth are they not emailing the customer?! Why is the paying customer being asked to seek them out for the privilege of entering a property they have paid for?! If this really must be the process, please please make this clearer. Thankfully I noticed this, and after a nail biting delay of nearly 24...

「The rooms were very spacious and clean and the beds were vety comfortable. Everybody was so kind and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. My only regret was not being able to stay another night as we were traveling to Assisi the next day. The locat to Lucca was also perfect and tge drive into the walled city was less than two minutes. I can't say enough great things about our hostess and her mom. They we absolutely sweet and wonderful people. The next time, I will use La Chiuso Delle Monache...

「We stayed for one night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was excellent, with an easy walk into the historic centre while still being in a quieter area. Parking was simple and convenient, which was a big plus. Our room had a balcony that we enjoyed, the air conditioning worked exceptionally well, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again on a future visit to Lucca.」

「Sehr schönes Hotel, kleine Abstriche gibt es für das Frühstück (Auswahl nicht groß, für z.B. Pancakes muss man extra bezahlen). Außerdem sind extrem viele Stechmücken, durch die tägliche Zimmerreinigung gelangen auch immer wieder welche ins Zimmer.」
