Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Hotel is not ready for international guests. We booked for 4 nights, left after 1 night. Despite indicating we would pay at the hotel, our credit card was charged for the entire stay 6 days before check-in.
• Food Desert: The remote location has limited transport and no external dining options. Dinner is only served from 7–9 PM. We waited 40 minutes for bland food; the accompanying sauces were either intensely salty or sickeningly sweet.
• Safety & Navigation: Stray cats and unleashed dogs roam freely, including one blocking the check-in entrance.
• Rooms: The grounds lack signage. Rooms are so hard to find that the receptionist had to escort us to ours.
• Substandard Rooms: The shower water was lukewarm, and the stall didn't drain, creating a standing puddle.
• No AC or Phone: We endured an intense mosquito infestation and stifling heat because the wall-mounted AC had no remote control. The room had no telephone to call for assistance, and no written instructions were provided.
• Unacceptable Service: Manager Emmanuela stated guests must use WhatsApp for help, but the app was down, and this policy is nowhere in writing. Her solution to our night-time issues was that we should have changed out of our pajamas and walked across a large, dark, poorly marked property with roaming animals just to find an AC remote. She repeatedly excused these failures by stating they are a "small establishment," dismissing reasonable baseline standards.
