Relaxing and convenient to two Yosemite entrances (El Portal and Mariposa Grove). Six rooms in three separate buildings. Private deck area for each room. Modern bathrooms and great AC/heat. Satisfying breakfast. Quiet rural location. Highly recommend!
Nice comfortable inn in outskirts of Mariposa town. The hostess was very helpful and provided a lot of information regarding the various tourist attractions in the area.
we tried to checking-in, but they sent us because we don't have any reservation at their place.
I tried to show the booking confirmation email (conf.number), but they didn't accept it and sent us.
It was very bad news for us and we were very upset because we couldn't imagine that so could happend at all. The stuff was unfriendly, rather unamiable and offered no options for us.
We were tired, it was late and had to search for another accomodation…
Its a little expensive than the other places.its very good

Treated with disrespect by both of the office personnel. They were unwilling to negotiate when we expressed our difficulties in staying a second night, but wanted to argue with us instead of listening to our concerns. We checked out immediately.
The location is NOT in Mariposa, as indicated. This may affect your travel plans, as it did ours.
Very nice stay. These are independent little houses. Large rooms. Bathroom is brand new and bed was clean and very comfortable.

Visited nights of 6/5/19 & 6/6/19. Quaint, reasonably priced for the area, and within 1/2 hour of Yosemite NP south entrance.
Christine the owner was accomodating of our late arrival (8:45/dusk). We did not understand her written instructions on where to park that she had left taped on the office door. The next morning, upon our formal check-in, we were scolded for not parking by the pink roses by the house. The "house" was the office. The pink roses were gray/black when we arrived at dusk and along the shoulder of the road. This was not clear until she took us outside to show us the spot. Aparrently the space in front of our cabin, where we parked, was needed for a handicapped customer. We apologized several times, and we were repeatedly berated. This did not make us feel welcome at all.
The room felt like a furnace when we arrived, and took 45 minutes to cool it down. It was in the 80s during the day and the A/C had not been turned on. When we returned from a day of hiking in the 80s we looked forward to colapsing in a cool room. It took 30 minutes to cool it down because housekeeping had turned the A/C off. We paid for the room, including the A/C, for 2 days. That evening we also found ants in our groceries.
Our experience was great!! Our room was immaculate, very comfortable and charmingly decorated with attention to detail. A folder with information about sights and services in the area was in the room . Breakfast was excellent and parking very convenient. The hostess was very welcoming and helpful regarding additional information. We ended up staying one additional night
We stayed here two nights of a four night scheduled stay. There were fires in the area, not the owners' fault. However, when I stated that the smoke made staying here impossible due to asthma in my party, I was told there would be no refund and the smoke was compared (by the owner) to going to SF Bay on a foggy day. Fog doesn't aggravate asthma, folks.
We also woke up on day two to a room crawling with ants. It's part of the environment - just know that you can't leave anything in the room unless it is well-sealed. We were not warned.
The takeaway - don't expect to get your money back if you need to cancel for any reason, including medical.

I and my hosband stayed in the 'deluxe suite" place with my sister and her husband. The location was good, the facilities and the ground kept well and can be charming.
however the room was warm upon our arrival, took awhile to cool down to the comfortable level,The air quality was bad as the forest fire near and was warned to close the window and turned air condition on. the second day, we left the air condition on before we left for the day trip to Yosemite. as the air quality was warned to be un healthy ,Upon returning in the evening we found the air condition was turned off again by the management and found the room was warm and smokey. felt like I would pass out . could not open the window as ashes flying in and unhealthy air comes in. Dismayed the fact the management turned off the aircondition off to save their electiric bill under this circumstance without considering the customer's comfort my husband left two star review .The morning at the very basic bare continental breakfast the lady at the front confronted us asking why my husband left only 2 stars and asked us to leave before 10am as we had "miserable stay" Overall, I was stunned over her rudeness, she might have saved a few dollars on the electricity but won't get any recommendation from me. No concept of hospitality, she is in the wrong business. We had the worst experience ever!! Stay out!!

Poor Customer Service
Two things you don't do in any business; don't treat your customers with respect and secondly, and more importantly, threaten your customer. There is a gentleman on the premise who when asked questions always scowled. When leaving I asked the owner about this person to let her know he should be trained in customer etiquette, it turns out it was her husband. I then enquired about leaving a little late and was told that 10am was the cut-off, and if I was till around, her husband would come over. Wow....you should not be in the hospitality business.
What a fantastic place, private, quiet and the owners were absolutely delightful and helpful. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit Yosemite. In addition the entry to the park from there is less crowded and easier access
The host is super friendly and helpful. She made me feel more like at a home rather than a hotel, and gave me a lot of good advices on touring Yosemite, even check road conditions for me. I had home-made muffins as breakfast these days. Very delicious. Enjoyed the stay very much.

Rude owner
The hotel’s location was not easy to find at night and the owners were super rude people. When we could not find out reception(everything was closed) and any person to assist to check in we knocked on the door lightly as we were not sure egat to do.The owner came out and shouted at us for disturbing everyone. It was around 9 pm. Again the instructions and our room key was not visible as there was little light and we are visiting the place first time. They could have informed us about this process before, how will we come to know? This was s racist behavior and insulting too.
Our family of four stayed for two nights. The cabin was very clean, well appointed & significant attention to detail had been given to the bear themed decor. We stayed during the Detwiler Fire and the owners went out of their way to help us get safely in & out of Yosemite. Despite the nearby fire we enjoyed three great days in Yosemite with little loss of visibility. The nearby cafe served very tasty food & added to a happy stay in this pretty cabin. Thank you!
Rude service, extra charge, terrible bed, no wifi.
Unusually bad experience. The mattress is old and terribly uncomfortable, we couldn't sleep even after a full day of hiking. The internet either doesn't work or too slow to be useful. We were charged at the checkout $25 late fees, and were not even late!! We arrived 10-15 min before the closing. The door of the office was locked and the note was left for us, and we had to find the room and the key in complete darkness. We did not complain about her early closing and not meeting us. But how surprised we were that she charged our card $25 late fee!
Zero service! The owner lives right there with her son, but seems to be literary hiding from her customers. Except on the first day at the breakfast she suddenly appeared behind me with the comment that my bowl of milk is too full and may spill. I apologized and she quietly went away. The 2nd time I saw her when we came back from hiking and there were no toiletries on the bathroom. I had to ring her bell and ask her to replace our toiletries, which was not replaced on the 2rd and 3rd day. She appeared very annoyed, and only gave me a shampoo, and said “that’s all I got”. Then she quickly retreated to her room and closed the door behind before I could ask any question about fresh towels, etc. So we had to use the old towels to avoid confrontation. It seems that this lady gets confrontational and unhappy any time she sees the customer, her biggest nuisance.
The main things that were a problem were (1) it was very expensive for the kind of room it was and (2) it was extremely hot when we were there (100 degrees or more) and when we left each day, someone came in and turned off the AC. For the price they were charging, I would have thought they could have kept the room cool so that we could have returned to a comfortable place. Otherwise, ok.
