We enjoyed our stay at Bushy Lakes Chalets. Great location. Very comfortable and clean, a King size bed and plenty of cut firewood. Close to Margaret River and the attractions around Caves Rd. Lovely hosts Mel and Rob. Thanks Pauline

An exceptional stay in EVERY sense. From being allowed an early arrival of 12:45 (not expected by us but always appreciated) to the FLAWLESS cleanliness, along with EVERYTHING we needed being provided. We stayed in No. 4 (Gannet) and please note, this is more a full and spacious house than chalet. A family of two parents and four children could very easily stay here and not feel crowded. The beds were extremely comfortable, the spa was sparkling clean and there were plenty of towels for our two nights. Individual hotel-style toiletries were also provided. The wifi worked well - if it drops out at any time, simply disconnect and then reconnect. Lovely touches were appreciated such as the water jug being filled and a carton of milk being being left for us in the fridge. Some people may overlook these things but for us they are a sign of caring and considerate hosts. Touches such as these make you feel less like you're staying in paid accommodation and more like you're guests of gracious hosts and that can make all the difference when choosing or recommending accommodation in the future. The secluded property is located off a cul de sac and is incredible peaceful and quiet. It is also conveniently location between nearby caves and wineries and is only about five minutes from town. It couldn't be better positioned. I could gush all day about Bushy Lake Chalets. Suffice to say I HIGHLY recommend this accommodation and very much look forward to returning.

Wonderful stay. Our 4th time so you know its good. Ask for cabin away from road..can be an issue. You don't see it but you can hear it😀

Top pick - highly recommended

There are many self catering accommodation options on offer in the Margaret River region. Having stayed in a number of these I think Bushy Lake Chalets rates very highly. The chalets are well maintained, in a garden bush setting with adequate separation between each of the six chalets. We stayed in a well appointed studio chalet, nothing too flashy, just very comfortable making for an enjoyable stay. Sitting on the deck at sunset or early morning watching the many birds flying about was an extra bonus.

An Enjoyable Family Retreat away away from city

When I booked the chalet online, I wasn't so much impressed by the picture of the chalet. Instead I was curious as to why 5 stars were consistently given in the review. As it turned out, the chalet well deserves the excellent rating. We booked the Ibis chalet, a cottage with 3 bedrooms big enough for 6 people, although one room was locked since we are a family of four only. The chalet is very clean, spacious and comfortably furnished with good quality furniture and fitments. Good bedlinen and toiletries were also provided. It also came with a well equipped kitchen with good size dining table for enjoyable family meals. The bathroom also comes with a shower and a Jacuzzi. Best of all, the chalet also has a good working desk with thoughtful touches like multiple power outlets. However, although the wifi was strong, reception was not consistent as the incoming network signal was weak in the area. The chalets are far apart among trees and vegetation with good retreat feel. The hosts were very friendly, giving us advice on where to go and what to do in Margaret River. Our stay was most enjoyable and we certainly would book it again should we come this way again.

Roomy, comfortable and clean. Close to Margaret River and the beach. Views over the lake and friendly ducks come to visit. The road nose reduces the feeling of tranquility but still a very relaxing place to stay.

Super stay

Great location in Margaret River with easy access to all roads leading to attractions, lovely property, great size cottage with all amenities including well equipped kitchen and large bathroom, wood burner fantastic in winter, caring hosts.

Peace and Quiet

A great little retreat that feels like you are away from it all... but only minutes from the restaurants and cafes of Margret River. A fully contained unit with all the facilities you need to just stay in and enjoy the peace and quite as well. A great veranda to sit and enjoy the quiet, take a walk to the lake, etc.
