A well designed, true Oregon Coast jewel. Funky. Innovative room layout in our room (whale watcher), two blocks to the beach, walkable to shops and restaurants. Work on: blind pulls didn’t work. Confusing TV instructions (we decided it was getter to read books, do crosswords, and play cribbage anyway). Still highly recommend!

Cute friendly place. My son took his dog and me to Manzanita and we stayed here. Such an awesome friendly town and Inn. The owners were more than accommodating. The room was immaculate and they even provided a towel & blanket basket and a dog bowl for the pup. 30 second walk to the beach.

We had a nice view of the ocean. Next time we will select a room with a regular bed layout. Our room had a Captain’s bed surrounded by three walls. The inside person has to crawl over the other person to get out of bed at night. The room was nice anyway.

Our room had a hot tub, a gas-powered fireplace and a narrow view of the ocean -- all good. But the bed wasn't a full-size queen and the hot tub was large for the size of the room. All in all, a solid B .

I think they can do better
I love Manzanita. We were disappointed with the room. It was very different from the photo online, much smaller. The outlet that service the YV and DVD player only had one working plug, so we could not use the fireplace while watching a movie. The chairs were wobbly. The heater was noisy. We could hear the hot tub above us while being used and while draining. The reforestation was noisy. The linens and bathroom were clean, but the rest of the experience was not great.

Our unit appeared to have updated bathroom, and window coverings worked. Window covering were problem in previous stays in other units, so not sure if upgrade everywhere or just our unit. Ventilation at night was minor issue because it's ground level and windows had to be nearly closed or completely closed for security. TV was modestly sized but good picture, and easy two switch between the DVD player and cable.

I had higher expectations for this property, not knowing the area, than was delivered. This property seems to have units that are a little more tucked away, so I suggest calling the property to make your reservations so that you know which ones are more secluded and not on the street side, especially if you are looking for a more romantic experience. Three of the rooms, ours included, that have the fireplace and spa tub for two experience, are on the street side...the main street of the town. We had the taqueria across the street serenading us with their outdoor speaker till 10:15 at night all three nights. The bed was very old and creaky in the Manzanita room and we even tried to flip the mattress since it was pillow top on both sides. I would say mattress is at least 10 years old. We even added our own fluffy mattress pad since most hotel mattresses are firm, but it really didn't help much. The pillow top is just too worn down. The coffee pot wasn't cleaned out and still had some grounds and liquid in the bottom. The ceiling fan was so thick with dust on every blade that I would say it had been at least 6 months to a year since it was cleaned. Overall, it just needs to be overhauled and spruced like paint, caulking, wood refinishing. This is all well and good for an average stay, right on the main drag, with a 2 minute or so walk down to the beach access. But, it's not really romantic and the bed, I have to reiterate, must be replaced!

Our refrigerator hadn't been cleaned in a long time. crumbs, old food etc. Gross. It just made me think everything else had be cleaned badly. Also the bars on the fridge door were all broken so we couldn't use. The decor was stained and tired. Watermarks on wood trim etc. Honestly if they gave the place a lick of paint and a good scrub it would help. I asked for an iron and they didn't have any. Bed was plush and somewhat comfortable. A little soft. Sofa bed was ok. Location was great. cupboards were stinky... they need a good disinfect.

While there were some nice features such as the woodwork, this was a disappointing stay. It was a huge splurge for me at nearly $500 for two nights. The bathroom, including the toilet, was dirty. The sheets were stained. There was sand all over the table. Staff are only available to check you in from 4-5. You can hear every sound through the walls, ceiling. The mattress was old and uncomfortable. Someone did change the stained sheets for me, but overall this was not a good experience and not worth the cost.

This was a great amenity for being able to bring our dog for a vacation to the Oregon coast. Comfortable room, with thoughtful features to make our visit comfortable. This hotel is in a great location in downtown Manzanita. We look forward to staying there again in the near future.

Stay here. Manzanita is the perfect town for exploring the oregon coast. The inn was cute, clean & a block from the ocean. The balcony had a slight ocean view. We loved our stay.

The staff is wonderful! The rooms are cozy, with a jetted tub. If staying on the lower floor, be aware that you may hear your neighbors above as they move about.

Everybody is running pretty short on staff, so it was a little slow getting checked in. Other than that, we both absolutely loved the place. The units are very thoughtfully laid out and very comfortable. It’s definitely a place I’ll come back to stay at.

We have stayed there multiple times over the years. This time there were limited dishes in the kitchen and ants in the tub that we had to wash away. Loud at the front desk early in the day. I would still stay here but maybe needs better upkeep.

The place was great but it’s not on the beach and we did not have a beach view from our room. But it’s close - just a block away from the beach. We got there on a weekend and were on the main street so it was noisy with cars but on Monday all was quiet. Very nice room and facilities.

I really enjoyed the property. The ocean is so close and it's on the main street where all the shops and restaurants are on. The one down side is that the walls are thin and you can hear every step from the unit above and conversations that are happening in nearby.

We liked the beachy character of the Inn at Manzanita. Our room was clean and cozy. We enjoyed the in-room jacuzzi tub after a long day in the car. Our room was quiet and well stocked with towels, glass coffee mugs and wine glasses etc. The only ripple we had was that we failed to understand the check in time. We arrived mid day and wanted to check in, but the office staff were busy elsewhere and not in office until later in the day. It all worked out well, as we went for a walk on the beautiful beach and then got checked in. Pay attention to the posted check in times. This is a small, beachy place, not a "city" hotel.

Great hotel. Restaurants have strange hours. Keep a very close eye on days and times for each restaurant. The heater in our room did not stop and start to keep it comfortable. It got really hot and then cold when you tuned it down to stop heating. Loved the jacuzzi tub.
