Access to private beach was cool. Indoor pool was also very nice. Hot tub was out of order and I wasn’t able to use the Roku tv because it wasn’t fully set up. Overall a nice hotel

Our newly-renovated rooms were great! The breakfast area in the lobby was quite small, but still appreciated. The indoor pool was refreshing and having it open late into the evening was great - it will be better when the hot tub becomes functional. The staff was very helpful and responsive by text messages. Great location and hope the renovations continue to be as good. We managed fine without an elevator, but that may be a concern for some people with 2nd floor rooms.

Room was renovated beautifully and very clean. Lobby staff were excellent. Motel is under renovation yet we did not hear any noise. TVs need upgrades to smart TVs. No elevator to 2ns floor. We did have a lake view yet as the outside hallway was in front of the windows we didn’t enjoy the view as much as we thought. 3 seasons diner is next to motel and has great food and service. We would stay here again.

The room was recently updated, with simple beauty, and luxurious linens and towels, composite floors, tile floors in bathroom, comfortable sofa by a window overlooking Lake Michigan. The beach is not quite ready for visitors with Sharp clamshells everywhere in the sand, but it could be navigating with good shoes. The staff were friendly and helpful. The newly decorated rooms are on the second floor, with older staircase leading up to the rooms, no elevator, not for people with disabilities, or difficulty climbing stairs. I would definitely come back again.

We really enjoyed all the renovations to this location— so happy that someone has finally invested in sprucing up accommodations in the UP. Every year we come through this area and have always had to put up with dumpy accommodations because there is nothing nice to pick from. So BRAVO to the Manistique Sands!

Upstairs rooms were newly renovated and quite nice. They had only been open a week so tough to rate because they were still renovating the lower rooms. The breakfast wasn’t much but still better than nothing. We weren’t there long enough to use the pool but the hot tub was out of order. Overall rooms were nice, and would stay there again.

The room was newly renovated and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The location in general was very good and our view of lake Michigan was pretty cool. The pool looked nice although we didn't use it. We really wanted to use the hot tub but it was not operating. The staff was friendly and there was a nice little free continental breakfast in the lobby. The Roku TV was a bit complicated (for streaming) but we ended up figuring it out; I imagine that some folks wouldn't have been able to.

This hotel is currently under construction, so the property reflects that. The room, however, was PERFECT! So updated and clean. We requested extra pillows and they brought them right up. The view of Lake Michigan was pretty, despite the rain we had. They did have a grab-and-go breakfast option but we walked right next door to three seasons cafe for breakfast and it was amazing. We only needed accommodations for one night but the bed was perfect and location was ideal for our trip. It’s only about 15 minutes from Kitch-Iti-Kipi, which was on our itinerary for our anniversary trip!

The room was lovely. Comfortable bed, very roomy. I wish there was an overhead light over the dresser area, and that the existing OH lights were on 2 switches instead of 1, so one person could be doing something in the other half of the room while person #2 sleeps. The tiny desk light helps, but not enough. We appreciated the reduced use of plastic with the breakfast! Paper/cardboard cups and plates are great! Maybe someday you can add a compost bin for the compostable plates and bowls!
