"The hotel needs a complete remodeling, it is old and I'm desperate need of fixing. The toilet was best fit for an 8 year old not an adult. The sink was cracked in many places. The bathroom counter top was stained and yellow. For a 330$/ night in suburb, it was a rip off, I had seen good reviews that why I went there, never will do it again. Staff were very nice."

"The hotel was decent overall. It was clean and comfortable, which I appreciated, but the rooms felt a bit dated. Unfortunately, our room was not ready when we arrived, even though it was already about an hour after check-in time. That was frustrating, although the staff did eventually get us settled. For a Holiday Inn Express, I understand it is not meant to be a luxury hotel, so my expectations were reasonable. However, at around $390 per night, I did not feel the value matched the price. At that rate, I would have expected a smoother check-in experience and a more updated room. One other issue was the breakfast policy. There was a letter in our room saying to enjoy the complimentary breakfast, but we were told we needed tickets or passes. That made the breakfast feel selective and confusing rather than truly complimentary. Overall, it was an okay stay, but based on the price and experience, I most likely would not stay here again."

"The reason for my choice of the hotel was primarily the location, and the convenience of ample parking. But I found that the staff were very helpful, particularly Nirmala, Nick and Haroon, who went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. My stay was for two visits, with a cruise trip in between. They were very helpful in keeping one of our bags while we were away. The housekeeping staff were also very attentive to our needs, making sure we had enough condiments, and the towels were changed as required. I must mention also the the proximity of restaurants, particularly Canton Manor, the Chinese restaurant was excellent. The breakfast provided was also imaginative, with changes to the menu now and then. I would certainly like to stay there again if I am in the Flushing/ Northern Blvd. area."

"Hampton Inns have long been one of my favorite places to stay. This one did not disappoint. Everything was pretty much as I expected. Hotel is clean, room was nice, beds are extremely comfortable. Breakfast, which is included, was very good. People at the front desk were pleasant and helpful. I had not complaints at all!"

"My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. My only complaint is the lack of maintenance in the common restrooms. The pool bathroom was broken and out of service during my stay, and several other bathrooms were missing paper towels. Improving the maintenance and upkeep of these facilities would greatly enhance the guest experience. Danny"

Casa Azul Hotel Blu JFK

"Location and price were the factor after missing a flight from JFK. Arrived well before 3pm check-in but no means to store luggage. Town reminds me of those midwest, southern towns slowly dying out. Property is pretty used, and allows in-room smoking on the 2nd floor. Colors throughout are on the dark side - without bright lighting it feels gloomy."
