"Our room had a great view of the grounds and the ocean. Not all the rooms have great views however. The room was clean and the bed was nice. The dinner staff were outstanding and enjoyable to be with. The morning staff not so much. On Sunday, the breakfast was a bit shaky. When we arrived at 945 or so, 3 tables needed to be cleaned and no hot water for tea, no juices out. Saturday was ok. The food at dinner and breakfast was just ok, nothing to write home about. Check in/out was a breeze and had no problems."

"The staff was a little apathetic but did their jobs. The glamping tent was great! Bed was Warm and comfy. The only reason I might not do this again is the walk to the bathroom. I’ve camped all my life but now I’m of the age where I have to get up several times a night. I recognize now that I just need in room bathroom facilities! If you don’t need that, then I Highly recommend Mendocino Grove. It’s Lovely!"

"The difficult issue is cell phone service, which is the main form of contact for the office, but we absolutely love this place and this will be a forever go to spot for us! Quiet, cozy, Victorian, hardwood floors. Beautiful rooms. Wonderful short distance to Mendocino. Just love it!!!"

"This cabin near the Point Arena Lighthouse was a great place to stay. Clean, quiet, and peaceful. Booking through Expedia was seamless and easy. We loved every minute of our stay and will be returning."

"The hotel is located on a hill, overlooking a wharf and the ocean---a magnificent view! The staff was very friendly, attentive, and accommodating---several lovely conversations. The complementary breakfast is modest and continental in style. However, there is a nice, but limited, breakfast made-to-order menu which was done very well. The dinner menu is similarly limited, but the choices are nicely cooked and served. The room featured a hot tub, as well as the usual shower, and a balcony had a great view of the wharf and ocean. Since the hotel is on a hill, the driveway is somewhat steep---some may have trouble walking down to the water, but it's a 1-minute drive to parking by the beach. Also, walking from one unit of the hotel to another may involve some ups and downs. A cafe and a couple restaurants are available down the hill. Rooms are labeled as "peaceful and romantic", and that seems a fine description. The city of Point Arena and nearby area are isolated near the coast, but that makes the hotel a great place to unwind and enjoy the scenery."

"Our cottage (the Dillon) was lovely, with such a picturesque view from the living room! I loved all the beautiful flowers and plants covering the property. The cottage was very roomy, with a large bathroom and full kitchen. The host was very communicative, check-in and check-out were a breeze, and the price was very reasonable. We didn't have a pet with us, but this is a dog-friendly property, so if you want to bring your furry family member this is a great option. The parking for the Dillon and the Elk is down a bit of a slope, which was no issue for us but if you have mobility issues, you may want to consider a different unit. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and would definitely stay again!"

"Our room was so cozy and felt like being in a favorite aunt’s best guest room. The bed is a bit unwieldy in the room we were in (Evergreen) It’s very tall and the featherbed kind of sucks you into place and holds you there. However it was such a lovely stay and we will 100% be back. Do yourself a favor and get the muffins for breakfast with their excellent coffee drinks. We were thrilled."
