Right in the village so handy. Have your own front door which is 24hours so you dont have to go tbrough the bar nice and friendly staff will stay here again
Staff was helpful and stowed our luggage until we were ready to leave. The room was large and clean and the inn is within close walking distance to the Piccadilly Manchester train station. Fun lively area and close to center of Manchester. It was a boisterous Saturday night but the owner gave us a heads up and it was no problem. Thank you for a fun stay in Manchester
Basic but a perfectly decent and welcoming place to stay for a night or two. Very clean. Adorable dog. Couldn't be more convenient for the gay delights of Canal Street. Deposit of £20 per key seems a bit unnecessary and old fashioned. A good experience and would recommend.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The property is clean and the location is excellent. It is very near the coach station and to dining spots. What I really did not like about this hotel is the noise at night as there is a bar downstairs and the music is really really loud that it kept us awake until 6 am! The wifi is too weak and we were not able to use it. The entrance of the hotel is not separate from the entrance to the bar until you get your own room keys for which you will have access to a different hotel door entrance.
This was the worst night I ever spent in a hotel in my life.
Firstly - the noise. I knew I was staying in a hotel with a bar downstairs and going on a night out ourselves, it was not unreasonable to expect noise until 2:00, maybe 3:00 but oh no, this was like trying to sleep on the floor of a dancefloor until it closed at 6:00!!! And even then that wasn't the end. Another hour of people dispersing and listening to their drunk conversations followed.
Throughout the night I was constantly having to listen to other disrespectful guests having conversations outside my door, it was like being in some grotty hostel. I kept going to the door and telling them how inconsiderate they were. And it wasn't just the guests who had no consideration. I even heard conversations between staff in the hallway during the night, even they can't be bothered to have any consideration whatsoever for their customers. And these conversations on top of feeling like I'm in the nightclub while I'm trying to sleep.
Let's look at other aspects of the hotel.
Check in - We arrived at the venue which is very confusing and the rude woman at the bar shouted for us to go upstairs for the hotel. We roamed the corridors and eventually found the tucked away reception room. We got the room key and asked for 2 extra pillows. The pillows never materialised. 2 hours later I went to reception again to ask for pillows, no-one there. I tried again an hour or so later, no-one there. There is a phone numb
OK facilities, great staff, but way, way too noisy
The good points:
- Location was great
- Staff were lovely
- The rooms were clean
The bad points:
- Room was clean, but dated, bit shabby (no bedside tables, broken wall light, etc)
- The corridors were very shabby
- We stayed on a Saturday night and found it very hard to sleep because of the noise from the club downstairs. The noise of terrible pop music and people screeching along with it would put me off staying again. I'm not sure what time it eventually ended, but well past 4am.
- We stayed on a Saturday night and paid £103. I don't think this was value for money. I think I would preferred to stay somewhere slightly outside the city centre for a better night's sleep.
This is the third time that I have stayed here. The facilities are very basic but are great for what's needed. Ideal for everything we required. Its very clean and comfortable.
Everything was great and it's amazing value.
The only slight downside is that the plumbing seems very noisy, so you can hear the very loud sound of running water when someone in the neighboring room takes a shower. Apart from that it was perfect and I would definitely stay there again.

Perfect for students looking for a cheap, central, party location. Basic digs, hot shower, but leaking roof = wet floor.”
Great central location and a really warm welcome from their staff. Great value for money but a bit noisy, but that comes with the territory from being near bars. Comfy night’s sleep. Thank you for our stay
