The staff are very lovely and helpful. The lady from breakfast service, she was very nice and helpful. Also my room was very clean and receptionists very helpful. I love the hotel. Thanks!!!!

Can't beat the location with the theater right across the street. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. Breakfast was amazing and the place was really clean. The decorations gave it a really homey feel. I've stayed in many places around Centro and I'll definitely be staying here again.

Nice, cosy, good breakfast, kind people.

It is a very special hotel, would advise it for travellers for vacations, very cosy and nice staff. For business purposes it is a bit poor as regards the small rooms, no cabinet for your suites, shirts, clothes and no desk to work.

Very basic. We came a day early Viking Cruise I/5 the cos of Airport Marriott nite before Very close to where we board the ship Hotel across from Opera. Any restaurants within 100 meters or so, Perfect when arriving fatigued

Abby experience

Good sized clean rooms, good sized bathroom, clean, quiet, Aircon and WiFi. Excellent breakfast, all fresh made, personal touch. Great collection of art and religious objects on loan by the Franciscan order.

AMERICANS!! This review is for you and others that don’t speak Portuguese. We found one employee here who spoke a tiny bit of English and a little bit of Spanish. The others spoke maybe two words of English. We got along fine with the staff using our phones to translate. This hotel is the former home of the friar to the church on the corner. It is spectacularly decorated in a sort of adventure theme. So cool! There’s no ice. And, like the rest of Manaus, the water is unsafe for Americans. They sell cold bottled water in the lobby. Use that for brushing teeth. Use hand sanitizer instead of washing hands. You can’t flush paper down the toilet but there is a bidet. Also, there wasn’t a TV in our room. (We didn’t care!) Because of safety issues you should limit yourself to the immediate square once the sun sets. The Teatro Amazonas is across the street. It’s an opera house and well worth touring. Many restaurants and food carts line the square and many of them have English speaking employees. The “pipoca” is delicious. Please note that it is not a Hilton, or even a Days Inn, but it is a unique property that adds to the adventure of visiting Manaus.

The room itself was just average. Unfortunately, the pillowcases smelled like they hadn’t been changed, so we ended up sleeping without pillows. The front desk staff didn’t seem to know how to greet or acknowledge guests, which made the experience feel unwelcoming, especially the one who was working in the early morning of Oct. 15. On the positive side, the breakfast was good, and the location is convenient. However, the property could really use some upkeep, and the staff would benefit from basic customer service training.

Decepção

Nada confortável. Banheiro sempre molhava ao tomar banho, cama sem padronização dos colchões, barulho intenso durante a noite seja dos funcionários, hóspedes e músicas que atrapalhava ter uma boa noite de sono. Luz no corredor acesa à noite sem isolamento para o quarto pela parede ter uma abertura rústica. Rolo de papel higiênico de péssima qualidade foi o que mais me surpreendeu e quando acabava tínhamos que descer as escadas para pedir outro na recepção já que não colocavam um de reserva no banheiro. Elevador deu defeito e somente descia e não subia do térreo para os andares. Funcionamento adequado mesmo somente o ar condicionado que era silencioso. Café da manhã com comidas em formas de mimos criativos, mas a reposição das comidas não contemplava a todos mesmo indo cedo para o café da manhã. Geralmente só as poucas frutas que tinham eles conseguiam repor. O único ponto forte do hotel é a localização. Não faz jus ao custo x benefício. Não entendi o tarifário para o pouco que ele oferece. Passei por 2 quartos do hotel e somente mudou o tamanho do quarto e tipo de colchão. No mais os mesmos problemas. Sugiro repensar a qualidade do prédio, logística e funcionamento. Ah, os quartos não tem frigobar, não tem isolamento acústicos das janelas e nenhum aparelho para se comunicar com a recepção.

Hospedagem muito aconchegante, uma extensão da sua casa, mas precisamente uma casa de avô bem religiosa. Atendimento bem humano e cordial, achei exclusivo até. A vista no terraço superior é a cereja do bolo, com toda a vista para o teatro e a praça, traz uma paz a mente.
