Hotel is difficult to find and on steep hill
Place is at the top of a hill that looks like the street doesn't even go that far. You must pay cash although Expedia says you can pay with card. The hill is exceptionally steep and takes a lot of might to walk up. There is a grocery store close by and the room was adequate.

Cheap room, but not worth the price
The room was very basic. We were provided with one thin sheet for the bed, no blanket or comforter. We were cold both nights, and had a horrible sleep. Our room looked nothing like the pictures. There is no reception like the listing says, we had to walk around the apartment building looking for someone. Another guest found the owner for us. The apartment was up the hill, and hard to find. Although it is only a km from the beach, it is done a very steep road, there is no way you would want to walk to the beach from there, the walk back up would be terrible. So even though the listing says it is close to the city, if you don't have a charm forget it. There are much closer apartments to the city and beach. Don't stay here unless you have a car, and do t mind sleeping under a thin sheet.

Try to find a better place if visiting Makarska
Difficult to find as the building isnt market with any signs of being a hotel. Apartment kitchen very cramped and poorly equipped. Cookwares useless, for example the non-stick surface of frying pan completely destroyed. No toilet paper provided and no personnel available to ask for some. No safe in apartment.

El propietario nos mando un mensaje para ver a que hora llegábamos, cuando le dijimos que llegábamos a las 6.30 de la tarde nos dijo que el no estaría hasta las 7, que nos dejaba la llave puesta en la puerta por dentro, que entrásemos nosotros directamente. 1 h después de la hora indicada, se presento a cobrar.
La habitación no se corresponde mucho con las habitaciones de las fotos, bastante minúscula, una buena terraza eso si (con vistas a una fábrica de pan que hay al otro lado de la calle...) la cama no tenía ni manta, ni sábana, tan solo la sábana bajera y una especia de cubre cama... las toallas para la ducha eran toallas de mano... sin duda la peor habitación de nuestro viaje a Croacia.

Boravak u Villi Sara pamtit ćemo po prekrasnom pogledu na more i otoke koji se pruža s balkona. Ukoliko volite mirno okruženje, a u isto vrijeme blizinu mora i centra, toplom vam savjetujem smještaj u Villi Sara. Domaćin je susretljiv i pristupačan, a apartman prostran, održavan i čist, te ima sve što vam je potrebno za bezbrižan odmor.

Immeuble mal insonorisé et literie bas de gamme
chambre dans un immeuble récent dans un quartier résidentiel. Pas de bruit extérieur mais on entend tous les bruits dans l'immeuble (chasse d'eau, porte, etc.). La literie était bas de gamme et nous avons eu mal au dos (habituellement, nous n'avons jamais mal au dos...).

Good price, not so good location
Cheap but location isn't very practical. 2km from bus station, 3km from old town centre and marina. Kind of close to the beach but the guest house is quite high in a hill. Supermarket very close by but hats about the only good thing about location.
