「The Fort Garry is a lovely old hotel. It’s fun just walking through the lobby. The Oval Room is a lovely place to have a nightcap. Our room was pleasant and very clean. The bed was comfortable. We’ll be back.」

「Nice place right down town. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Parking is limited but was nice to have. Easier if you have a car or small vehicle. 」

「The location is perfect in the heart of downtown Winnipeg. Important to know that there is an escalator that takes you underneath the hotel and allows you to access most of the buildings in the downtown area from underneath the street. 」

「Because of severe weather condition, the air conditioner could not make the room all the time. One of the elevators was out of service for my whole stay, and the only one was very busy with some issues. The safety of the area was terrible, and some security crews were assigned in different floors.」

「After many years of travelling, we stayed at our first bed & breakfast at No.5 East. Beautiful old mansion with beautiful rooms to stay in. Nice area with restaurants and shopping around the corner. Continental breakfast was great and the Latte’s exceptional. The hosts were amazing and easy to talk to. We will certainly stay again on our next visit to Winnipeg. 5 stars from us」

「Property design and build is an issue. Understanding why certain materials were chosen for ease of cleaning and longer service life. However these significantly increased to transfer of sound between rooms and especially between floors. Every movement is heard. The shower only bathroom design isn’t user friendly with the large bathroom door opening inward just clearing the toilet and the person entering the bathroom. 「We waited 2 hrs to be checked in even though we were first to arrive. The room was 85 degrees with a broken thermostat and not fixed after muktioke complaints and even a request to be movedbtoba different canad inns until 2nd day. Had to walk from 2nd floor to basement to access pool even though theres pool access on the 2nd floor but is kept locked. No ELEVATORS. Left key at desk with hubbies name on it since he was arriving very late, only to be woken up at 1:47 am by desk clerk for...

「The staff at the front desk and the pool were friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was fantastic, and my kids really enjoyed the slides! Even though it was the long weekend, the pool wasn’t crowded, we only met two or three other groups of guests. I did notice, however, that the beds in the room seemed a bit smaller or shorter than usual. The shower water pressure was a bit weak, and the toilet flush didn’t always work properly, which was a little surprising for such a new hotel.」
