Fishermen and fresh fruits and vegetables within 2 mins drive. City center Victoria 20 mins drive, Beau Vallon beach 20 mins drive. We rented a car from the airport. cleaning lady very nice and friendly. came every other day to clean the apartment fully. she was always present on site to ask if we needed anything and was always helping us. We arrived late at night, around 10 pm and someone was around to check us in. On site parking and security guy present all night long. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at this quite grand colonial style villa. Our room (the master bedroom) was large and airy, nicely furnished with a huge bathroom. The bed was comfy and the walk in wardrobe made keeping things tidy a breeze. We were well looked after by the hosts and their on site assistant, Alam. He was always around to get drinks or beach towels, umbrella's etc and keep the villa clean and tidy. The villa is up a steep access road (which is not uncommon on the island due to the local topography)and about a mile out of Beau Vallon which means a car is pretty much essential to get to the fabulous beaches and local eateries. However, the access road & parking could be considered to be somewhat challenging unless you are a confident driver. We enjoyed the breakfasts which consisted of a platter of varied fresh fruit, eggs of your choice and pancakes obviously prepared with care. Alternative options were offered as well. The hosts also offered a 3 course evening meal option Unfortunately this was not available every for night of our stay. The food was excellent and, although we initially thought it seemed expensive, it turned out to be be good value in comparison with the better local restaurants. We found the Villa a peaceful, comfortable and relaxing place to stay. It's not perfect by any means, but you'd have to be pretty picky to find much to complain about and it was a more personal & comfortable experience than the standard hotel offerings."

"Arrived at night, but when I stepped out of my room in the morning, I had the most gorgeous view of the island, as this property sits at the top of a hill. There is an open-air breakfast area and sitting area (right outside the bedrooms) where you can gaze at the view for as long as you like."

" Mer Rivière Self Catering: Great Value, Ideal Location Mer Rivière offers fantastic value for a self-catering stay in Beau Vallon. The location is a major plus – just a quick stroll to the beautiful beach, restaurants, and shops. The apartments are well-equipped with everything you need, including air-con bedrooms and a full kitchen, which is a real bonus. We appreciated having a washing machine too. The shared pool is on the smaller side but a welcome dip, especially with the shaded area. The staff were genuinely lovely and helpful, making us feel right at home. While not beachfront, the short walk is easy, and the peaceful atmosphere, with the gentle sound of the nearby river, was a nice touch. If you're looking for a comfortable, well-located, and affordable base for your Beau Vallon holiday, Mer Rivière is definitely worth considering. We had a great stay and would happily return. Key Positives: * Super close to Beau Vallon beach. * Well-equipped apartments with full kitchens. * Friendly and helpful staff. * Good value for money. * Peaceful atmosphere. "Property was fantastic with huge patio and views of the ocean, islands and windmills. Main bedroom has A/C and living room/kitchen has big fan. Steep hill to walk from main road but very happy at the main road junction was a good-size supermarket. With public bus service ending every day at 7 pm, it's good to have a supermarket there to buy groceries to cook dinner in the apartment. Owners Theodore and Lorna were extremely nice and charming."
