This old rustic hotel is very inexpensive. The area offers both local heritage and nature.
The staff brought a solid complimentary breakfast with tea to my executive room-with-a-view every morning.
There was no hot water but I think I was only paying $9 or $10 U.S. a night.
There is definitely a lot of rich local culture in and around the Wisata Hotel!
There are plenty of places to walk in either direction, including restaurants, convenience stores, coffee, local style warungs, mosques, a reflexology spa, semi-deserted sidestreet alleys, an art museum, a Starbucks, and a modern mall in either direction.
I appreciated the large pine tree-covered hill across the street. And there are monkeys, many of them!
For the very cheap price, this hotel was worth it for me.
I was able to make easy day trips to the Borobudur Buddhist Temple and other ancient sites.
I would recommend it.
