Wonderful

The location of the hotel is great - bang in the middle of everything. The hotel and the rooms are quite dated and the walls/rooms are not really soundproof. We went to Madrid for a boys-trip - we didn‘t spend much time in the hotel except for sleeping. Therefore, we didn‘t mind the state of the hotel.

Cute, central place

This is a cute, simple, central place - a good one for the area! The receptionists were friendly. Compared to other hostels in the area, this was a find. The room was small but very nicely renovated. The bathroom was comfortable and functional and so was the tiny desk fitted below the window. If you need a quiet room, ask for one that faces the inner courtyard. The rooms facing the street can be noisy in this area. The breakfast in the restaurant had a short list of very nice options. The breakfast service was fast but it was a table service so make sure to book a few extra minutes for that if you're in a hurry.

Good location, clean and newly remodeled rooms. However, biggest issue is with the wifi. We should have paid more attention to the prior reviews before booking. The wifi barely works here, as most have mentioned. That is pretty important for us but may nit be for others.

location was superb, the hotel/hostal was ok, no lobby, just a reception desk on a second floor accessing via stairs or a tiny elevator that fills up with three ppl or two with luggage, rooms are just ok, full of wall cracks, no air extractor in bathrooms so smells and moisture stays there , no room service, good thing includes bfast on a near by restaurant, pretty decent

Not the biggest bedrooms, but clean. Prime location. Walking distance to everything like metro, restaurants, and shopping. Finding the entrance was a little confusing. It says hostel but it's clean and modern. Consistent hot water, ac, and an elevator are a gem in Europe. Would stay again.

Incredible location, access to transit, sites

Alhambra Suites is right down the block from the Sol metro station in central Madrid. Easy access to all the "three" art museums, Royal Plaza, and major train stations. Great cafe and night life within a very short walk of the hotel. A great spot I'll return to over and over.
