We've stayed at this Econo Lodge 4 out of the past 5 years as part of a family tradition, but unfortunately, this visit was disappointing enough that we’re unlikely to return.
On our first night, we had to switch rooms because the TV in our original room wasn’t working. We notified the front desk immediately, and the staff member said they’d come take a look. After waiting 25–35 minutes with no follow-up, we had to leave for dinner since the kids were hungry and many restaurants in the area close early. We eventually got moved to a different room, but the delay was frustrating.
The following evening, after a long day out on the water, we returned to the hotel hoping to relax—only to find that neither of our room keys worked. We had to return to the front desk once again to get replacements.with two kids it is a huge hassle.
There are bugs in the rooms. Shower pressure is awful. Walls are thin.
I want to be clear that the staff was friendly and helpful when approached, but having two major issues in a 24-hour span is more than what I’d consider acceptable, especially for returning guests. It’s disappointing because we’ve even overlooked worse in the past—including once witnessing a car break-in and calling the police—yet we still chose to come back. This time, it felt like too much.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as we’ve always appreciated the affordability and convenience of this location. But service reliability matters.
