"Reid’s is a beautiful property with multiple pools and diving access to the ocean. Our stay involved changing rooms ( not the hotels fault), and not all rooms are the same. The first room had a walk in shower but the second room had a very slippery tub shower. There was construction going on during our stay that made for noisy afternoons. The food was really good and there are multiple restaurants, however, I would reserve a table in advance of your stay to guarantee your spot at dinner. The service was exceptional."

"Great location and architecture. Lots of room options. Generous 'all-inclusive' offering. Music far too loud at main pool. Discarded Food outside next door's room was left for >12 hours before collection despite prompt. Food options are great...IF YOU CAN GET BOOKED IN. We had several messages from Hyatt prior to arriving, asking if we wanted to select a specific room...It would have been far more useful if they had asked us what restaurant we wanted to book for our first 2 nights...there was no availability when we checked in."

"The rooms with sea view are absolutely stunning! I totally recommend them for enjoying a glass of madeira wine at sunset. Great breakfast selections, even though it can get busy at times."

"The Evening buffet didn’t meet our expectations. It had overdone meat in several different options. The food wasn’t hot and the salads were almost gone. We both didn’t think it was worth the money. The breakfast buffet was much higher standard. Couldn’t fault anything else. Design, staff, cleanliness and facilities were exceptional"

"Lovely hotel, with great sea view rooms. We had premium All inclusive which was well worth it for the al carte breakfast and additional nights at the restaurants. Swimming pools are great, mostly couples there, a few young children as not a child friendly hotel really. It's 4 euros to play pool for an hour, which is fair. One critisim is the number of flies and bugs. At the buffet/drink stations there are a lot of flies, with cakes/lemons/honey left out. It was a bit off putting, however it was always cleaned if something left out / causing the issue. We did get a lot of bites at night as well, including inside and mostly around ankles and feet - take bug spray. The shuffle service to Funchal isn't worth it, better to get an uber if a couple, can come and go as you please and the same money, choose CR7 as the drop off point. Lots of vegetarian options in the buffet also and proper drinks brands served. Entertainment was okay, mostly live music."
