Calheta Beach - All Inclusive

"The staff was wonderful and very helpful! We loved how close to the beach it was and the night time music. The food was also plentiful and good. The room was cleaned every day. The beds were not comfortable, and neither were the pillows. The pool stayed really cold, not too many people got into the pool. We also paid for an ocean view and looked at the building across the street. Overall, we enjoyed our stay."

"A very dated hotel - I can see how it might have been good in its day, but now very worn, and does not align with expectations of a modern 5 star hotel. Rooms are small, unkempt, with very thin walls. We could hear toilets flushing throughout the night, and every word said in the rooms next door. We even paid for a deluxe sea view room. Bathrooms are unhygienic - no door, or walls to the bathroom, just a glass panel."

"The hotel was beautiful and clean. It was in the center of the old town. Restaurants on the streets on either side of the hotel. Music everywhere. One block from the water and one block from the Main Street. Everything you could imagine was in walking distance of the hotel. The best part was the rooftop infinity pool and the views from the rooftop were spectacular. Best breakfast buffet ever and it’s included in the stay. I’d recommend Barcelo Funchal Oldtime to anyone who wants to experience Madeira."

"The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The rooms are very nice and clean. The breakfast was good, but would have been nice to switch up the food every once in a while just to have something different sometimes. Other than that we had a great stay here. Would definitely recommend and come back!"

"Amazing place. The staff were so friendly and helpful. My room was lovely and cleaned every day. I went through so many bottles of water which were supplied by the hotel. It’s a nice walk into the main area with bars and restaurants. Easy to get a pickup for an excursion too. I really enjoyed my time at this hotel!"
