The room was clean but a bit dated. The property and the private beach was very nice. Breakfast was pretty much what you expect from continental breakfast with the exception of the protein selection. All that was offered was ham and/or eggs, bacon or sausage would have been nice. We ate across the street our second day.

Wonderful Family-Friendly Stay with Stunning Views! We had an amazing stay at Best Western Plus Dockside Waterfront Inn. The breathtaking view of the Great Lakes right from the property is something we’ll never forget. The hotel offers great amenities like a fire pit and plenty of seating to relax and enjoy the beach view, making evenings especially memorable. The location is perfect — walkable to the ferry, close to charming shops, and surrounded by great dining options (many of which offer delivery right to your room). It’s incredibly family-friendly, and the cleaning staff went above and beyond, keeping our room spotless despite all the sand we tracked in from the beach — a true sign of their professionalism and hospitality. Breakfast was another highlight, with a variety of good options to start the day right. We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of our stay and highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a family trip to the area. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

The property had a clean pool area, a clean breakfast area and a private beach. The rooms are older and a little musty but the musty is expected with a lakeside room. The views are beautiful. The patio could have been cleaned up a bit of spiderwebs and dead bugs. The beds were also squeaky and very firm. The breakfast also isn't great. Reminded me of microwaved frozen pancakes. The coffee was also always out. However, the rooms were clean and cared for. Overall, I would say the facility is old but clean. Great location and helpful staff. I would say for the view and the size of the room, $200/night is reasonable.

The room was very nice and the location worked well for our needs. We ended up not needing the extra bed but that was not the fault of the hotel. The only downer was that the second door to the bathroom didn't lock. I did ask that it get fixed but it wasn't done during our stay. I didn't matter to us but it may to the next person/

Fabulous location on Mackinaw City within walking distance to restaurants, shopping. Room 216 faced the lake and beach and we were able to sleep with the slider open. Very relaxing and beautiful!

We stayed here just overnight, so didn't need the extra perks. Excellent full breakfast. The only problem was that the tv didn't work when we got in the room that night. Maintenance came, but by the time it was fixed, it was time for bed.

The room was not very clean for the two nights we stayed at 1000.00 not worth it. At this price it should be a luxury hotel. Could not use air conditioner due to musty smell coming from it. Bathroom shower dirty dead ant in the corner. Something spilled on the bathroom floor cleaner didn’t clean it. The best part of this room was the comfortable bed and the view from the dirty balcony. I would like to recommend the manager of housekeeping be more diligent and supervise the cleaning staff more closely.

The room smelled like old socks and looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in weeks. AC unit sounded like it was chewing rocks. The “lakefront beach” is a complete lie. There’s a nasty gutter pipe draining straight into the sand. This place charges like it’s luxury but runs like a cheap motel off the highway. Save your money. I wouldn’t stay here again if it was free. We raised our concerns to the front desk and the didn't do anything.
