Although the property is older and seems a little more dated, everything was pretty clean with good amenities, including toaster and microwave. The coffee was a little stale but otherwise it was a great room and the service was lovely.

Great place to stay. 4 lady bowlers shared the family room. Have stayed at many motels on trips away and this would be the best. Real crockery and cutlery unlike some. One lady a smoker and was made feel comfortable in lovely smoking area. Will be recommending to anyone looking for accommodation in Mackay. Kaye Cooper Townsville

The property itself wasnt anything spectacular. Pretty good for the price really. The owner was a little stand-offish and wasnt very welcoming. The cleaning staff the morning we were leaving, were friendlier. Would go back though.

Although the rates are cheap theres a reason for that its right next to a busy roadway. You hear everything from spastics doing burnouts at the traffic lights right out the front of the motel to buses amd noisy harleys ripping past if your looking for a restful nights sleep it aint here. Other than that the rooms are on and clean as they say you get what you pay for.

The motel is on a busy road, luckily our room was the furthest away from the road. The room was very clean and tidy, however it had some issues. The light switches were loose as were the power points. There were several other small repairs that needed to be done. The bed was very comfortable.

It was pretty good value for money. For the price, it was clean, pretty modern renovation, well kept, parking, not a bad location close to Canelands shops and the city centre. Absolutely no complaints, as a cheap and cheerful it scores well. In fact you could quite easily be charged twice as much for something that good. We arrived late, and they did a great job on the key in the lock box, and the owners live on site if you're desperate, you can ring them on the main line after hours. Highly recommended for a work activity or quick visit, and nice people running it and cleaning etc (hey it's Mackay, of course people are nice). Of course dear Mackay is absolutely a hard working industrial heartland of mining and agriculture, don't expect it to be a tourist paradise like Cairns, because it's not.
