The property itself is nicely landscaped, the rooms are generous in size, super clean and furnished nicely. The staff are great. And to top it all off the beach is literally across the road 👌 Would definitely stay there again

Nice rooms for the price of a night if your are passing through 😊 Cons Bed is hard as a rock Tiles in bathroom very unsafe slippery when wet 4year old slipped over no door on shower Hot water doesn’t last long at all

Staff service was excellent. Cleanliness of the accommodation and bathroom was excellent. Safety with door locks very poor to have young children. They can just open door and walk out. Beds rock hard very uncomfortable nights sleep. Children choose to sleep on the floor in stead of noisy squeaky fold out sofa. Made up bed on floor with sofa cushions for my infant!

The room was ver spacious and very clean. It was in walking distance to the beach and it was lovely and quiet. We were able to catch a bus to the Souths Leagues club for dinner which is just down the road. Never knew this plac3 existed but we will be back

Very basic but adequate for one nights stay. Definitely not for any longer. The bed mattress was like a brick so both of us had a shocking nights sleep. We have a firm bed at home but that’s ridiculous

Really impressed with our stay, we were upgraded for free, and early check in was no issue, the owner was really nice, the room was very clean, with comfortable beds and in a very quiet area just opposite the beach. I would highly recommend this place.

We arrived to a friendly service and helpful information. Across the road was a beautiful beach and it just felt relaxing all round with Econo Lodge and the beach. Been to mackay many times and never knew the beach existed,

Friendly staff; clean well maintained rooms; excellent location; quiet. The beds were unfortunately uncomfortable - very firm queen mattress and sofa bed mattress not flat. Two single beds instead of double sofa bed would be better for a family room.

Mackay on business
Drove to Mackay for a work function, received a very friendly and warm welcome, they couldn't do enough for us, even dropped us off in their private vehicle to the local function centre to save us a 1km walk. Room was comfortable, clean and motel is in a quiet area, beach and park across the road, so an enjoyable stay, shame it was only for one night.

The property was walking distance to a great little kids play ground and the beach. Short drive to local shops. The unit was fresh and clean. Water pressure in the shower was a bit low but we like strong pressure in our showers, probably has water saving devices installed.

Good stop for business.
The accommodation was very clean and comfortable but not at all close to the city. The staff were also very friendly. Wifi wasn't great. The restaurant across the road was terrific but that was about it for local!
