「Older hotel that needs serious renovation. The rooms are Texas size, which is nice. The shower was very easy to use, although I wish it was a walk-in shower rather than a tub-shower combo. The ladies at the front desk were helpful, especially when telling me about popular restaurants in Mabank and Gun Barrel City. I frequented two of them (one Italian; one steakhouse) and they were excellent.
But I discovered rust stains in the bedroom section and bathroom, one of the lamps didn't illuminate,...
「No hot water in the shower. Toilet tank was brown and disgusting and there was no cover for the tank.Toilet bowl was also very dirty. Fire alarm was not connected.」
「The sheets were clean and carpet was vacuumed. However, the walls were stained with dirt. Needed a paint job. Tub spout and toilet paper holder was barely hanging on. Some parts of the base trim had roofing paper on it. You can smell smoke all night from people smoking outside. If you’re just there to sleep, then it is perfect for that.」
「The room was clean but very warm and thermostat did not change so did not sleep. Also VERY noisy from upstairs and ice machine from 2:30 on. Breakfast was cold so had to microwave but coffee was good. Not worth what I had to pay for the room at all.」
