Good Location easy access to motorway and walkable to town centre in 5/10 minutes which has some lovely restaurants, Good power shower. Nice outside space and secure gated parking on site. Slow Wi-Fi in our room just 1 bar but maybe different for other rooms. Decor needs update and carpets etc bathroom was ok ish but could do with a thorough clean. Very strange Bar payment system having to collect tokens from reception to pay for any drinks in bags of €20 euro. Drinks 8 euro for half litre beer. Breakfast was buffet mostly cold as the food warmers didn’t give much heat but a few different cold options.

Smelled terrible in the room. Awful room freshener. Maybe to try to cover up the smell of cigarettes/tobacco in the toilet? Staff were very kind. We were waked up early in the morning where they came in to check our towels?? Also not able to put occupied on the door… Overall ok place. Not coming back though.

I was on a business trip but this is obviously a hotel for old retired tourists. There was live music very loud in the garden that I could hear in my room with windows closed. Impossible to work or sleep.

Hotel nice, room very basic and small, no tea making facilities which for this day and age is very unusual, the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor so we had to put a towel down. Breakfast was lovely, and had everything you could expect to start the day We have an electric car and the hotel has charging points, the lady on reception had absolutely no idea how they worked or if we could charge our car anywhere else. The lady in the TI was nice and pointed us in the right direction, when we got it sorted I told the lady on reception that if anyone else asked about charging where to go. She just rudely said well your the first to ask and walked off. They’re are many other hotels in valkenbourg to choose, but this has the swimming pool and free parking. A 5 min walk into town is easy and the train station is 2 mins away. Would I stay here again…probably not, only because of the choice of hotels in the town.

We hebben het naar onze zin gehad, maar voor deze prijs mag je echt meer luxe en afwerking verwachten. Het hotel is van buiten al slecht, binnen is het nog erger. Ontbijt wordt slecht bijgevuld en bij de bar betaal je met muntjes. Niet meer van deze tijd.

Prima hotel. Wij vonden de prijs/kwaliteit niet in verhouding. We wilden wat drinken op het terras/tuin. Er zou bediening buiten zijn, maar we zagen niemand. Na 2x vragen en 20 minuten later, kwam er iemand onze bestelling opnemen. Tevens moet je consumptiemunten kopen bij de receptie. Als je munten overhield, kreeg je het geld weer terug. Kamer is gedateerd en gehorig. Badkamer is wel aan modernisering toe. We hadden babybedje bijgeboekt, alleen niet aanwezig in de kamer na inchecken. Bedden waren voor ons wat aan de zachte kant. Ontbijt is basis. En voor een goed bakje koffie gingen we naar het centrum of naar de pomp. Het hotel heeft een gratis parkeerplaats met genoeg plek. Dichtbij het centrum wat op loopafstand uitstekend te doen was. Personeel bij de balie zijn vriendelijk. En in de tuin was het heerlijk om even te ontspannen. De (familie) kamer was ruim en schoon.

古い街並みを楽しむための拠点として交通の便はよい一方、宿以外に食事や買い物できる店が少し歩かないとない点が不便です。全体的には他の方も書かれていますがリタイアされた方向けのホテルです。 部屋自体はペットボトルのような飲料水の準備がなく、ホテルフロント等での販売もありません。エコを謳うのはヨーロッパらしいですが、数泊してコップがプラ容器一つだったり、空調設備がない部屋なのでラグジュアリーなホテルに泊まりたい方にはおすすめしません。

De deurpompen op de kamerdeuren zijn zeer sterk waardoor je de deur moet tegenhouden om ze dicht te doen. Veel deuren vielen in het slot wat toch heel wat lawaai veroorzaakte. De badkamer is dringend toe aan vernieuwing. Algemene opmerking: het bed was laag bij de grond en het toilet is hoog van de grond ... het zou beter anders om zijn.

Medewerkers waren erg vriendelijk! Hotel: Ik vind het een vrij duur hotel. Voor consumptie in het hotel ben je verplicht om munten te kopen, (als je ze niet gebruikt had, kan je deze weer inleveren en krijg je het geld terug). Een simpele tosti voor 10 muntjes (=€10) vind ik erg duur. Kamer: Zag er netjes uit. De bedden waren erg zacht. Het toilet hangt te hoog, m’n voeten gingen 10 cm boven de grond (lengte 1.65). De hanglamp bij binnenkomst hangt erg laag waardoor m’n zoon telkens tegen de lamp aan liep. Als we uit het raam keken lagen er diverse kledingstukken op het dak, misschien een keer weghalen, ziet er niet fris uit. Ontbijt: Het ontbijt was heerlijk, veel keuze, vers gebakken broodjes, dat was super! helaas stonden beide koffieapparaten regelmatig op storing, het Koffiedras-afvalbakje zat dan vol. Deze konden we zelf niet legen omdat er geen afvalbak bij stond. Hierdoor stonden er rijen. Om stipt 10.30 u gingen alle lampen in de ontbijtruimte uit. Er zaten nog verschillende gasten te ontbijten. Dat de lampen bij het buffet uitgaan is heel begrijpelijk en logisch naar de hele ruimte vonden we erg vreemd. Alles samen is het niet een hotel waar ik snel terug zou gaan. Valkenburg is en blijft fantastisch!

Dit hotel richt zich vooral op een ouder publiek (60 ), al zagen we ook enkele families. Op zaterdagavond was er een zanger/pianist die oude nummers bracht. Hotel ligt zeer dicht bij het centrum, en heeft een zeer grote parking. Personeel is soms kortaf, en laat je wachten aan de balie zonder enig knikje of vraag om geduld. Zwembad is heel modern, maar blijkbaar niet op alle dagen inbegrepen in de prijs, of toch niet voor alle kamertypes. Dit stond niet duidelijk aangegeven. Informeer je dus vooraf. Ontbijtbuffet is OK, maar zeker niet top voor deze prijscategorie.

Gedateerd munten systeem om drank te verkrijgen in de bar, handdoeken geen succes, wel schone kamer/badkamer, ontbijt was tot 10:30, toen wij om 09:45 de zaal in stapte waren er geen eieren meer, geen croissantjes, nog een paar bolletjes, de sapjes kwamen uit een pak en werden in de zaal gevuld, niet professioneel, koffie machine was leeg, moest ik naar vragen er liep niemand in de rondte die zich bezighield met de hoeveelheid brood en de andere etenswaren, er stonden potten jam en pindakaas, en hagelslag, je moest dus zelf je broodje daar ter plekke smeren, in de bar werd ingespeeld op de ouder aanwezige voor wat betreft de muziek. Afgesloten parkeer terrein, schone kamers en een mooi zwembad met sauna waren de pluspunten, verder loop je zo het centrum in vanaf deze plek….
