A very friendly, charming, old fashioned hotel, for those looking for a quiet hotel in the western outskirts of Lyon. A bit tucked out in the countryside, but full of charm. A real swimming pool, which was quite a treat in late August.
Rooms were clean but small, moderately well-equipped and comfortable. The reasonably-priced breakfast was excellent.
We want to start on a positive note by saying that while the couple who ran the place was very nice, this place was a big disappointment: it was run down, outdated and entirely misrepresented by the photos and the 51 reviews which all collectively gave it an 8+ which leads us to believe the reviews were either left circa 1998 or by family/friends or posted pre-Covid. We felt like we were in some run down hippy nature commune. The pool was encircled by a wire mesh fence too so dont let those ‘classy’ pool photos fool you for a minute. And maybe we missed this while assessing the proximity to downtown Lyon but the place was remotely located: in the woods at least a 20 min drive from the city so take that into consideration. So if youre looking for a rustic place in the woods away from civilization (albiet run by genuinely nice people), this might work for you.

Locatie tov Lyon is goed. Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding slecht.
We werden heel hartelijk ontvangen!
