I loved how they kept many of the buildings original features with a modern flare. The high ceilings are amazing! Very clean and staff were very friendly. Easy walk to the tram that brings you up to the Basilica.

Expérience hors de l’ordinaire! Service à la clientèle impeccable, une foule de petites attentions personnalisées qui te font sentir important et apprécié, vraiment extra!!! La suite lumière est SU-BLI-ME. Famille de 4 avec 2 jeunes adultes, c’était parfait. Difficile de trouver des chambres en France qui offrent 4 bons lits dans la même chambre. Les banquettes qui sont à la fois des lits simples étaient parfaites! Très grande pièce avec un mur complet de fenêtres, cachet très soigné, superbe décor thématique, propreté sans faille, beaucoup de rangement, deux toilettes séparées. Emplacement géographique parfait, aucun bruit la nuit. Vraiment sous le charme de cet endroit du 16e siècle qui est rénové au goût du jour avec des employés hors pair!!!

Very good location with friendly staff. Rooms have a dark feel and the AC is minimal with no fan circulation. There is a terrible smell in the hallway. Probably would not stay here again. It has an elevator but you still have to navigate a circular stone stairwell with your luggage.

This is a perfectly situated small hotel right in the old part of Lyon, steps away from all the shops and restaurants, and a short bridge walk away from the city. We were with our teenage daughter in a family room, and it was spacious and lovely. The staff was also wonderful. The next time we're in Lyon we'll be back.

Hotel Academie as the name suggests was indeed an academy in the 14th century. The hotel has been remodeled Beautifully to keep the spiral staircase and the landings with a few steps to each room. Each floor must have 4 rooms. They are very rustic and finished with a grandeur look to it. We had booked a suite and each room had its own bath and toilet; amenities included 2 TVs , an armoire in the 2nd bedroom and desks for each bedroom. The furnishings and bed linens looked inviting for a comfortable good night’s sleep. It’s a hidden gem.

Great location in old Lyon. We got a “family” room which was 2 bathrooms and 2 rooms, 1 with a king bed and one with 2 single beds a small table and chairs - perfect for me and my 2 daughters. Nicely updated room, air conditioning and nice bathrooms. The building is beautiful . Liked the water station to refill bottles and the option to have breakfast if we wanted. The stag was friendly and helpful, they reserved a cab for us to get back to the train station. Walkable to a lot of the sites, public transit, restaurants and shops. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Fabulous property, recently renovated, and located right in Vieux Lyon. Everything is walkable, there are many good restaurants, bars, ice cream, shops, etc. While the neighborhood feels like you have stepped back in time, the rooms are very modern and well appointed. We were a group of three female travelers and the room was able to be arranged perfectly for us with three separate sleeping spaces. I’d definitely go back.

Very quaint hotel in fabulous old town. Staff were great, and room very clean. Only issue was a/c not working yet, although listed as having a/c. However, locacation and character won out.

We loved the location and that staff. Our only wish was for a fan or more ventilation in the 1st floor Traboule room we stayed in. Otherwise, how cool to stay in a Traboule! So much history here.
