"We arrived when it was dark so we didn't get to explore. But it's quiet, the birds are singing, easy for walking and bikeing and we're on the lake. The employee that checked us in was super helpful with our questions about the area."

"I normally stay at Barkley Lake State Resort but decided to make the extra drive to check out the Pennyrile Golf Course. So glad we did. The lodge was just as beautiful as well as the grounds and the area in general. Will definitely return with couples for more golfing next year. The place was practically empty, not sure why because we had a wonderful stay. You'd think it would be hard to secure a room. I have NEVER seen any marketing or advertising for Pennyrile other than flyers at the park shops. Kentucky sure knows how to run a great State Park system. Kudos. "

"We had excellent accommodations, good breakfast, and extremely nice & helpful staff. We have stayed 4 times now on our fishing trips to Ky Lake and are even able to charge our trolling motor battery at night. Super CLEAN place!!! Awesome experience!"
