Kind management, staff and service.

Shady hotel has a very kind manager, staff and service, but it is suffering from lack of tourists. The room is clean and nice, but the bathroom is lacking service of taps.

Mr. Ali and Abdullah, as well as the complete hotel staff takes care of us on all aspects. They are super friendly, that make you feel like they are your family. They provided us the best options possible for visiting so many places in few days at the best price. They really made as feel very comfortable… you can trust them very quickly. For sure I fully recommend Shady Hotel in Luxor, they exceeded my expectations!!!

The staff here is very friendly and the older gentleman who runs the front desk is very cool. He was running around like crazy and even running the kitchen serving breakfast in the mornings. Seemed like he was going 24/7 and deserves more help. The bar as listed was not in operation though and the pool was green and didn’t look very appealing for a dip. The room was nice however and bed was comfortable (especially compared to the place I stayed before in Cairo). The rate is very reasonable and you could do a lot worse. I would recommend to budget travelers looking to visit valley of the kings, Luxor temple, karnack, etc

There was a minor problem with the plumbing in the bathroom so they changed my room straight away without any argument or delay. Breakfast was better than I expected. I would go there again.

Pesimo servicio, llegamos y el Hotel okiendo feo y sucio, la habitacion en mal estado, sucia tambien oliendo feo, en la mañana en el desayuno la mesa llena de tiera o arena, el mantel orrible, la verdad nos paramos y nos fuimos, pediamos que nos hicieran la limpieza y la hacian muy mal, hubo un dia que no lo hieron el ultimo dia saliendo de la habitacion vimos una rata grande asta azote la pyerta, le dije al encargado y me dijo sorry, me tenian que dovolver un dinero y nunca llego el que tenia que darmelo, pesimo servicio, NO LO RECOMIENDO PARA NADA.

Probablement le pire hotel de Louxor, j'ai payé plus cher que le prix indiqué et en espèces sans reçu,du bruit sans arrêt les prières à fond dans les rues à 5h30 dumatin impossible de dormir correctement,les photos ne correspondent pas aux lieux,ce n'est pas au bord du nil c'est en plein centre au milieu du brouhaha infernal, pas de moyen de transport à part les taxis qui arnaquent facilement,bref choissisez ailleurs

Eu deveria ter dado mais ouvidos a alguns comentários, pensei q era frescura mas não é, o hotel eh sujo, IMUNDO, a toalha de banho precisa de lavagem especial urgente pois as mesmas fediam ao ponto de não ter como utilizar, tive q me secar c camiseta, tbm tive q colocar uma camiseta encima da fronha pois essas estavam tbm sujas, n tive coragem de usar o pano q seria o cobertor, a área da piscina eh terrível, as cadeiras de piscina n tinham condições de alguém sentar de aspecto tão feio é SUJO. O dono do hotel e o filho são insuportáveis, nos oprimindo tentando vender passeio, com muitas e muitas perguntas que achei de péssimo tom, fugíamos deles, e isso eh horrível. Só n dou a pior nota pois ainda sim nos serviu, a cama n era horrível, o banheiro ok o dois atendentes da recepção eram simpáticos, e o rapaz do restaurante também, n ousei comer no hotel pois se o hotel em si já era suja imagine essa cozinha, sem condições, está numa área central bem movimentada e barulhenta, o q já esperávamos e n eh culpa deles, sinceramente, só fique aki se for sua última opção.

Dissatisfaction and disappointment

Several days before my trip I tried to contact the hotel to confirm did they were picking me up. They said they would arrange transportation. The day before my trip I contacted to confirm they are picking up since my flight was landing around midnight. They did not return my message. I tried again before my flight to Luxor in once I landed. I Donely did not return my message, but they didn’t answer their phone with multiple items both from myself and from airport staff in Luxor. Because it was after midnight at this point and I’ve never been in Luxor, I decided to book another hotel. I’m very disappointed in their service.

The name of the hotel suits them.SHADY!

Firstly, when we arrived there were no towels and sheet/blanket in the room. Then there was no Air-conditioning controller so I asked for it. They said “it’s winter, we don’t turn the AC on, you don’t need it”. Yes it’s winter for Egypt (mind you, during the day it was 30 deg C). I do understand but we booked this hotel as it says air-conditioned on the advert as even our summer in the UK is colder than their winter. So we did say that we want it on as that's what it says in the ad. They refused at first but said okay in the end…after an hour and 2 more discussions, they kept on saying “okay” but were not turning it on. It was only when we asked for a refund so we can transfer to another hotel that they turned it on. Will never come back!

La verdad que la limpieza no es nada favorable Salvo las camas Qe tienen las sábanas limpias el resto lleno de polvo. El gerente del hotel , todo el tiempo ofreciendo tour’a que salían mucho más caro de lo que en realidad valen. Y al negarme tuve que bancar su mala cara y mala actitud. No es recomendable .

Nice staff, cold hotel

Thd Staff of the hotel was quite helpful and resolutive. They explained us a lot of things and proposed many plans to do. The "biggest" problem of the hotel was the cold. We requested more blankets and we were provided with thedm, but the environment was too cold, extremely cold.

يمكن ان يكون احسن

لابد من اجراء بعض التحسينات اولا--فوط الحمام لم تتغير الا في اليوم الثالث-بعد ان طلبنا زلك تنضيف الحجرة لم يتم الا في اليوم الثالث -بعد ان طلبنا زلك مشكلة تسريب مياه في الحمام لم يتم اصلاحها حتي اخر يوم من اقامتنا ستارات الحجرة غير كافية --يوجد شباك ليس له ستارة اطلاقا---الحجرة رقم 505--- المياه السخنة لا تصل للدوش بما فيه الكفاية--تصل ضعيفة جدا جدا--بسسبب سوء السباكة عمال الفندق كويسيين وبيحولوا يعملوا علي قدر الامكانيات المتاحة, في الختام الفندقيحتاج الي اهتمام اكثر لان موقع الفندق ممتاز وحقيقا الفندق لديه الامكانيات ليكون احسن بكثير انصح به لان كل اللي انا قولته لا يحتاج اكثر من يوم لتصليحه-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
