Clean, comfortable, quiet stay
Clean, comfortable, quiet, and big towels! Good location close to the water and many restaurants. Staff could not have been more welcoming! Everybody was wonderful.

We stayed here for two nights. Our experience was more like renting an apartment from a private person that a room in a hotel. The reception desk was not available at check in, and few times I needed something for my room maybe after 4 pm. Overall room was clean but everyone who rent a room should be aware of the church bells that go off every 15 minutes, even during the nights.

overall, I don't like it and will not recommend it. it is convenient, however, the room is very small, without air conditioning. it was very warm. by opening the widow overnight, I got street noise as well as a large number of mosquito bites.

Excellent location just off the lake near pedestrian bridge allowing for easy access to dining and amazing views of the city. Close to the train station. Adorable balcony to overlook the square, but the fountain was drained so was not able to enjoy that. There is a church right across from the hotel, which means frequent bell ringing, although we found them not to be too loud. We checked in on a Sunday, so there was no reception open, which was unusual and potentially inconvenient although we had no problems.

Decent hotel in a good location
Hotel was good, not great. Rooms are very small and there are steps needed even with the elevator. There is no storage area for clothes, so living out of a suitcase was necessary but not wanted. That meant using precious floor space for open suitcases. Good location near the old city. Didn't try breakfast.

It was very clean and in a great location! Staff was very nice. It was a bit stuffy in the room, which only had a small fan on a dresser. Also, our window only opened partially due to a plexiglass barrier.

We came in very tired from our overseas flight. It was a very hot day. Check in has humorous because the innkeeper had her dog there and the sweet puppy wasn’t used to being there, and annoyed the old dog that the person in front of us had. She, the innkeeper was very sweet. We were super tired so we barely took in any sights before crashing. We woke up at 11:05 and scrambled to get everything together as check out was 11:00. The person who checked us out seemed annoyed or maybe ready for us to be gone as he didn’t ask how our stay was and seemed put out that we asked to leave our luggage for a bit while we went to find some coffee. The room seemed clean but it must have been the first day of fan use, due to the heat, because the partition wall to the bathroom had a layer of dust on it that snowed all over the floor in that area of the room. Lovely little hotel, but be sure you check out on time!

Cute little hotel. Location was perfect. 10 min walk to the main train station/ ferry/ restaurants. Paid Parking lot is a 2 min walk. Enjoyed our stay

Beautiful Hotel in Old Town
Beautiful small hotel with perfect location in the old town. The staff was very friendly and able to assist with all requests. The room was very comfortable with antique touches.

Following great reviews here, we were hugely disappointed by a complete lack or decency or thought to clientele. Upon our arrival well before 6pm, there was no one from the hotel to check us in, only bar/restaurant staff. 1) We lost complete phone signal as soon as we walked in, and there was no wifi code written anywhere at reception. 2) They had zero information or desire to help us with Car Parking - you have to park off site and it is not 25 CHF as it says, that rate is only applicable if you book in advance, we ended up paying 46 CHF for less than 24 hours. 3) Upon arrival to our apparently 'Deluxe' tiny room, heating was switched on maximum but the room was Cold, they said they would turn it up, it did not change all through a VERY Cold nights sleep. 4) At 11am on the dot (with the Do Not Disturb sign clearly visible) the cleaners knocked on our door, we politely asked for an extra hour then the Manager comes to our door saying out in 5 minutes or pay another night. These people should study how to host because they really have no clue. The hotel was also quiet, you would think they would go the extra mile during COVID but oh no, quite the opposite. We were planning on extending our stay an extra 5 days if we felt good in their establishment. Clearly we moved on rapidly. Appalling service and staffing. Wasted opportunity in what is a quite beautiful building in a reasonable location.

What a quaint hotel. We loved staying here and would absolutely come back. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and great amenities. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast each morning, too. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

A nice place to stay.
We booked the hotel just before our arrival only to discover no-one at reception to check us in. Very kind neighbors at next door cafe and florist shop were able to contact management. We waited a half hour for management to arrive and enjoyed a drink at the cafe. If arriving on a Monday or Tuesday make arrangements for your check in in advance. Also the restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday. Spacious and clean room in a very convenient location. Nice balcony with table and chairs overlooking plaza. No air control in room, just a fan so we left windows open at nights. A little noisy in the mornings with delivery trucks running engines.
