Following great reviews here, we were hugely disappointed by a complete lack or decency or thought to clientele. Upon our arrival well before 6pm, there was no one from the hotel to check us in, only bar/restaurant staff. 1) We lost complete phone signal as soon as we walked in, and there was no wifi code written anywhere at reception. 2) They had zero information or desire to help us with Car Parking - you have to park off site and it is not 25 CHF as it says, that rate is only applicable if you book in advance, we ended up paying 46 CHF for less than 24 hours. 3) Upon arrival to our apparently 'Deluxe' tiny room, heating was switched on maximum but the room was Cold, they said they would turn it up, it did not change all through a VERY Cold nights sleep. 4) At 11am on the dot (with the Do Not Disturb sign clearly visible) the cleaners knocked on our door, we politely asked for an extra hour then the Manager comes to our door saying out in 5 minutes or pay another night. These people should study how to host because they really have no clue. The hotel was also quiet, you would think they would go the extra mile during COVID but oh no, quite the opposite. We were planning on extending our stay an extra 5 days if we felt good in their establishment. Clearly we moved on rapidly. Appalling service and staffing. Wasted opportunity in what is a quite beautiful building in a reasonable location.
