Be careful of different address

I would say it’s a very central location, close to many tourist attractions which is a big tick on the box. Abit strange that they had taken us to a different location just 3 minutes walk away from the checkin (separate premise), and it can be abit noisey outside. If we needed to use any service from the main hotel where we checked in, we needed to walked to there, which is incovienient for travelers. For breakfast, even thought we wanted to pay extra to have a nice breakfast but we felt inconvenient to walk back to the main hotel. And even we needed to walked back to the main hotel to check out and return the key. Good aircon, clean, and decent beds though.

Becareful!

Joint address with another "Hotel Luzernerhof". Bad check-in service received. The senior receptionist there lacks of professions and impolite. No travel plugs for lendings. Indeed the senior claimed she did not know about Annex Luzernerhof nor hotels.com even with confirmation email shown, and we were offered a room at higher price in Hotel Luzernerhof. Angry experience and felt being cheated.

The room key and the key for the entrance to the building is the same. (Is a actual key like the old days, if so, is it anybody has the entrance key can open the room?) Room is spacious with shared bathroom (with 2 others) next to the room. In room sink. Walkable.

The bedroom was basic but clean and renovated. The building is an old building and not very well soundproof. The entrance looks a little sketchy but the place is close to the old town. Stay was one night.

Voor een duur moment op een dure plek was dit een redelijk betaalbaar alternatief. Maar het was bloedheet (geen airco alleen een kleine ventilator) en een raam open was geen optie want het busstation staat voor de deur. Er kon geen tv gekeken worden want deze kon geen verbinding maken en van de 2x3 stopcontacten deden het maar 2. We hebben uiteindelijk van de receptie een extra stekkerdoos gekregen.

I read all the reviews (after booking with no cancellation!!) and was pretty nervous about my stay. However I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, beds fresh, towels changed daily, bathrooms were easily accessible and private. There were block out external blinds, fans for the heat and no noise. This is simple accommodation, you’re not paying a fortune to stay. Yes - it is different to an hotel and the neighbourhood is in the centre of the city. So that comes with a multitude of characters passing by. However it is also close to all the attractions and easy to access public transport. The hotel staff were lovely and helpful. Guests should bring $20chf to pay a key deposit - this is returned immediately upon your departure. Luzern is a beautiful city ready to be explored!

Check-in was at main hotel about 2 blocks from annex where we stayed. Arriving after dark the annex was in a dark alley with no lighting at the entrance, stairs or hallway. Room was very basic but okay. Beds were comfortable and clean. Apparently we booked a room with no bathroom. The two shared hallway bathrooms were locked all night and likely occupied by vagrants. The shower handle was broken. We had booked for two nights but got a much better room at another location—the front desk of the main hotel was friendly but only offered a 50% refund of our second night. Note that the bathrooms were open in the morning and the lights were working but we did not feel safe to stay again. Note that the photos of the annex on Expedia and their website include many pictures of the much nicer main hotel, only the room photos are accurate. The Annex is only acceptable if there are no other affordable options.

Estadía normal con pocos lujos

Son baños compartidos, de lo cual no lo vimos cuando hicimos la reservación. Aparte de eso, las teles no funcionaban y el hotel no está a ningún otro servicio, ya que es un edificio a 2 calles del hotel principal.

Der Eingang zur Unterkunft lag in sehr schmutzigen und unbeleuchteten Hinterhof. Lärmig von andern Gästen( Türen schletzen und lautes schreien) die ganze Nacht. Im Hinterhof treiben sich alkoholisierte Personen um. Im Zimmer fehlten die Leuchtkörper. Kühlschrank schmutzig. Entsorgung von Altglas in der Nacht. Wir bitten Sie diese Unterkunft aus ihrem Angebot zu streichen.
