The hotel is very well situated in the walled city of Lucca. Everything nearby is walkable from the hotel with tons of food/bars and even the train station, where trains will take you to Florence and many other destinations.
The staff at the hotel will always welcome with a smile and ask about your day! Those that don't speak English, are quick to utilize a translating app on their phones to maintain communication. Excellent experience and will return for a second vacation!

The hotel decoration is not in my favorite style, but the staff is so welcoming and helpful that I would consider staying again at this hotel.
They are a lot more professional than some of the staff at a nearby Marriott property.

Of all of our hotels in Italy, this was by far the most grand for the value. We enjoyed made to order breakfast, great communication regarding parking and navigating the city, and incredibly kind and helpful staff. This was also the best air conditioning we found during the June heat wave, and we slept so comfortably!

Dejligt lille boutique hotel, med central placering.
Det er af ældre dato, og efter min mening for dyrt i forhold til standarden.
Ville kalde det 3 stjernet og ikke 4, men personalet gør deres bedste og er meget venlige og søde.

Pros:
Super cool concept with each room being an opera
Very central location - close to everything in Lucca
Clean room and nice shower
Cons:
AC exists but the room was still very hot in July
You have to leave your key with the front desk every time you leave
Only two pillows per room and pillows/blanket were itchy and uncomfortable

The staff should give lessons to other hotels on hospitality. This hotel is an example of how guests like and want to be treated. Hospitality starts here. I plan to write to the manager to praise specific staff.
