"Al Porto Di Lucca is a lovely old property that has been tasefully renovated and decorated to combine modern facilities (such as the bathrooms) with the original features and furniture in keeping with the age and style of the house. "A nice villa with garden and parking place. The hosts were really friendly and spoke good English. The room was cleaned every day and new towels were provided. Breakfast was good but you had to book a time slot for when to eat. It’s a 10 minute walk to the city center. On the way there we found bars and restaurants less frequented by other tourists. Great atmosphere, mush more relaxed. A perfect place for us!"

"Filippo and Marisa were wonderful hosts, who made our stay at the Villa Oasi pleasant and memorable. The breakfasts were exceptionaly good. The only downside was the intermittant internet service despite Filippo's efforts to correct it. The problem was due to faulty incoming cable, which I hope has now been repaired. This B&B gets a very good rating."

The only negative was our bathtub could not be filled with more than about 3 inches of water before it drained out so the jets could not work. We loved our delicious breakfast and conversing with our charming, friendly hostess Patrizia. We had a wonderful stay in Lucca. This property was a great value!"

"It was a good place to stay. Finding it was a bit more difficult since there is it a wayward sign at the door. The sign is flat on the wall so you need to be on the lookout. The signage is also clear and blends in with the brick. "

"The B&B was lovely, very Art Deco. The staff were excellent. The owners did everything they could to make our stay a wonderful experience. The room we had was the budget room, which meant it was smaller than the others. With hindsight, we should have opted for a larger room, which were more spacious. The Breakfasts were very good value at euro5 per person. The Air con worked fine. There is quite a bit of traffic noise at the front of the building, but it is an easy walk into the walled city and...

"Very nice property and grounds, breakfast was good, and the addition of a pool was a bonus. It's located about a 20min walk to the Lucca walls, which we easily done every day. Minor issues would be the metal four poster bed take up a little too much space in the rooms, the pool area could be a little cleaner (signs of algae around tiles). One problem which is not associated with the B&B, is the lack of Taxi's in Lucca, we arrived at the train station in the evening, and there were no Taxi's to...
