Where do I begin at the disappointment with Sonesta Maho Beach All Inclusive Resort Casino & Spa .. I have traveled to over 25 countries and hands down the worst experience. First off the check in is at 4PM which isn’t unusual but once I arrived at 2PM from my flight, I had to wait around until 4 which was supposed to be my check In time. So I hang around 2 hours with my airport clothes sweaty and tired, arrive back at the check in desk at 4:05PM to be told my room is not ready. I was then told to wait around until about 4:30PM to then be told AGAIN that my room is not ready again for a second time. The receptionist gave us the option for a casino view when I picked a Island view, At this point I am irate because they are giving me incorrect information on my room being ready and I have been hanging around the lobby area. At this point it is about 4:45PM the hostess gives us an envelope with my room number on it and as I am walking away ALREADY IN THE ELEVATOR, the same girl who presented me my envelope asked me to STEP OUT the elevator full of guests embarrassing myself and my girlfriend to tell me the room is yet not ready AGAIN. So now I have to walk back over from the elevator to the reception desk where a manager is there and says absolutely nothing besides “this is my fault” which is irrelevant when I am embarrassed, tired, and have been waiting around a lobby almost 2/3 hours past my check in time. DO NOT STAY HERE DID NOT CHECK IN TIL 6:30PM
