The advertisement was a total lie, they had no air. The shower water was cold. The beach had litter. There were no seats on the beach and their free breakfast was minimum and the room was hot. No one is maintaining The property, even the Golf course was mediocre.

Firstly the staff were really helpful and pleasant. But the property itself has become outdated and has not been kept up to standard as the rooms were dirty and the bathrooms were very dated and was not well cleaned. Breakfast was good and the stores on the compound were great.

The stay was the worst this is the second time my family and I stayed there and the ac was not working the staff was most upset because we were complaining about how the AC wasn’t working and how hot we were. They did nothing to help us not even a compensation for the inconvenience caused. I will never stay there again. The place is very run down and also the room smelled mocky.

My room was clean and tidy, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Love the options at the the breakfast buffet but the hotels infrastructure needs cleaning and upgrading. Terrible smell of the seaweed on the coastal shore was unbearable but overall I had a good experience though.

Could not swim in the sea because of the sargassam seaweed which also brought a smell to the vicinity. Main pool opened at 8am so could not get 8n an early morning swim. Breakfast was limited to mostly local cuisine such as salt fish. Egg station was good and offered options. Cereal was limited to oats. Fruits was limited to a selection of 2 fruits. Upper walkway to room was closed due to erosion.

The property is aging - the main pool remained closed during our stay. There were no working ice machines - If you run the hot water it starts to come out brown. The patio furniture is broken and outdated and parts of the structure itself was falling apart. I would not recommend staying here at this price point.

The only thing positive about this resort is the staff. They advertised that they had multiple different shuttle services available but when we got there it was taxi service that we had to pay out of our pocket. The smell of the property was terrible due to the Sea Weed. The main pool was closed. I am very disappointed and will not ever choose this resort in the future.

Overall, we had a good experience at the Magdalena Grand. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The service we received from the team was appreciated, especially when dealing with an unexpected issue. On our first night, there was a plumbing problem and we were unable to use the water for showering. The issue was resolved later that night, and the staff made an effort to provide alternative arrangements so we could manage while it was being fixed. Their willingness to assist helped make the situation less frustrating. The breakfast was decent and similar to what you would expect at many hotels. The selection was somewhat limited and it was not particularly spectacular, but it was also not disappointing. Overall, the Magdalena Grand provided a pleasant stay. While there were a few areas that could be improved, the cleanliness, friendly staff, and good customer service contributed to an enjoyable experience

The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The staff at the front desk were friendly and courteous. I did enjoy my stay at this hotel. I love the layout of this hotel. This hotel has a lot of potential to be much better. it just needs some good TLC and a face-lift. The grounds is very huge and clean, however, I am an enthusiast for nice green grass, so there were areas where it can be better. The breakfast was very good. The food was on point. The seating area was clean and maintained nicely with friendly and accommodating staff. I know the sea-weed is an eyesore and the odor is terrible. Something has to be done to get that under control. I saw it at many places during my short visit to the island, so it's not just at that hotel and I get it. The furniture in the reception area need to be replaced/updated. As I stated, some TLC and a nice face-lift will surely enhance this hotel to be above the cut.
