Alt Hotel Winnipeg
10/10 Excellent
"Well first of all the hotel is very artistic and cool. Very Euro Sheik. Great design and architecture. Best hotel in downtown Winnipeg for sure. Not stuffy and Corporate like the Westin or the Marriot. Ugh. Who needs that, I want to feel at home while travelling. Everyone was so kind and helpful. From us arriving with Amandeep and Joynell (forgive me I can’t remember how to spell the man’s name, were so welcoming and sweet. They were truly helpful and gave us some great ideas of what to do and where to go. The lobby lounge was so fantastic as well. The Art deco was so great that I couldn’t take my eyes off of all the things to look at. First you think it’s a picture, and then you realize it’s a 75 inch t.v. How very cool. The wooden stick chairs that when sat on felt like you were sitting on pillows were just crazy and mind blowing. Emmanuel our lounge server was thoughtful and knowledgeable. His espresso martinis were delish and also his ceasers are made with fever tree Clamato. Nice touch! The margarita pizza is a nice touch too after travelling for awhile, delish too. Parking was easy and they don’t rip you off like most hotels. Very reasonable. If travelling to Winnipeg, the Alt Hotel should be the place to go. Browns social house restaurant and Tim Hortons are at your fingertips too. The rooms were large, beautiful and clean. Loved the robes. Cement walls and beautiful interiors. Art deco furniture. Very cool. It’s a great vibe. Will be coming back. It’s a must stay."
