We paid for a king suite and were given a regular room with no refund or explanation other than, we have no suites. The maintenance lady was wonderful and fixed the heat the previous weekend after moving at 2 am. She is very helpful. The rooms were clean, breakfast is very good and the coffee is great.

The area around the hotel isn’t great, but we didn’t have any issues with that. The room was clean but did have a very strong smell of paint or cleaner or something like that that was a bit overwhelming. I always book Holiday Inn Express because I know the beds are comfy, and this one didn’t disappoint. The breakfast is okay, I do wish that they would have waffle makers instead of the pancake machine, which is usually not working at most HIE I’ve stayed at but worked fine at this one. Overall it was a fine stay for one night!

The room was clean, and the bath was stocked with shampoo/ body wash/ lotion. Bedding was clean and relatively new ( checked with UV light). Check-in staff was friendly and efficient, they noted that I had stayed there before, and asked if wanted to change my room to a room I’d stayed before ( 1st floor rather than 2nd or 3rd), at no additional charge). The entire staff respected a DND door flag.
