"The room was spacious, very clean, and quiet. Check-in was easy. The only negative to keep it from being 5 stars was the internet was next to useless it was so slow and kept dropping off. Our room was only 2 doors down from the office so was surprised the WiFi was so bad. If traveling to Telluride for the first time be aware that finding parking can be difficult. This is not unique to the inn. The inn has some limited private parking but it fills up fast, first come first served, and street parking is hard to come by. The up side is once you find a parking spot everything is within short walking distance."
The Avon

"I stayed at the Avon for three nights during a multi-week ADV motorcycle trip through the Southwest and Colorado. Unfortunately, the weather in the San Juan Mountains had other plans for us, and we got thoroughly washed out. That made me even happier to have the Avon as my home base in Silverton. The location is incredibly convenient, right in the heart of town. There is a large kitchen available for guests, a spacious second-floor patio, and even a hiker box where hikers can take whatever they might need for the next leg of their trip. It has exactly the kind of practical, relaxed atmosphere that works well for hikers, motorcyclists, and anyone traveling through the mountains. But the best part of the Avon was the people. I rarely stay somewhere where I meet such an interesting and enjoyable group of people to talk to. Maybe the miserable weather helped bring everyone together, but while it poured outside, we had an absolute blast inside. After three days, the Avon felt less like a hotel and more like a gathering place for travelers with good stories to tell. I would stay here again anytime. Five stars and highly recommended."

"After a long drive, The Inn at Lost Creek in Mountain Village was exactly what we needed. From the moment we arrived, the staff was helpful and friendly in a way that felt genuine, not scripted. They offered services before we even asked—help with bags, recommendations, little extras that made the stay smoother. That kind of anticipatory hospitality is hard to find, and it set the tone for the whole trip. The room and amenities were top notch. The suite felt more like a well-designed mountain home than a hotel room: comfortable living space, a well-equipped kitchen, fireplace, and a bathroom that made it easy to unwind after a day on the mountain or in town. Everything was clean, thoughtfully appointed, and easy to settle into. Being steps from the gondola and ski-in/ski-out access only added to how convenient the stay was. This is a must stay if you’re heading to Telluride or Mountain Village. Intimate, well-run, and comfortable without being stuffy. We would book again without hesitation."
