"We stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and it was fantastic. For some reason they have modified it and not always for the best. The Aircon in the bedroom was controlled centrally and when I asked if they could lower it for our room, they said yes but it never happened. The breakfast is still very good but it is not as extensive as previous. Reception has been modified and it is functional but the previous reception was just as nice BUT it smelt better (strange I know). Biggest gripe was as part of my booking, I should get a free bottle of wine in the room and it took the best part of 2 days to get it no matter how many times I asked for it. All that said, would I stay here again, absolutely. It's location alone sells it and all the small gripes mentioned above, they are fairly petty gripes and personal to me. Not sure it is a 5 star though."
