The process of reserving this Apartel room was convoluted and difficult. After reserving on Hotels.com, I got an email in the middle of the night from someone saying that if I didn't reply, my reservation would be canceled. I replied, and then got another email saying that I had to verify my credit card by acknowledging the amount charged in a test transaction. So just before catching my ride to the airport I had to quickly log in to my credit card account, find the transaction and then respond to Ginosi. Once in Hollywood, you have to go to their office along Hollywood Blvd, ring them through a intercom to get them to unlock the door, find their office on the 2nd floor, and then wait while they take care of everyone else in front of you (20 min in a hot office). Then you get the key and the instructions to get in to your Apartel. Mine was on the first floor, right off the street, in a very sketchy neighborhood right off Hollywood Blvd. One of the neighbors was a rap music fan with a very loud radio and a big subwoofer, who finally shut it down around 11 pm, 1 hour after I was hoping to get to sleep. The apartment itself was very spacious and comfortable, but I wouldn't stay here again.
