Great value for the market. Simple, clean comfortable room with nice view. Fun, modern feel. Pool area was fantastic (and would be even better in the summer). Excellent breakfast with (with an even better view!) Friendly, helpful staff. The free Uber service to the nearby museums provided amazing bang for the buck. Not centrally located but great for a visit to the Getty or Skirball. We'll definitely be back for our next visit.

The hotel itself is nice and updated. Rooms were nice and clean. However, trying to get a good night sleep was utterly impossible with the freeway(405). I am a light sleeper anyway, but I always bring a white noise sound machine with me when I travel. I had the white noise machine as loud as it would go and I doubled up on Ambion and still had a horrible night. You can hear every car, truck and motorcycle whipping by. Now maybe if you are on the side of the hotel that does not face the freeway, maybe you can't hear the noise. I can't speak to that. But I would assume the majority of the rooms are susceptible to the noise just the way this hotel is shaped. Also, I booked my stay through Expedia and so I am sure they save these Freeway side rooms for 3rd party booking. So if you book through Expedia or other 3rd party service, plan on staying in a room facing the freeway. If you do try and stay here, I would absolutely ask for a room that faces away from the 405. If no such rooms are available or they can't guarantee a room facing away from the 405, I would stay away. Unless of course you like sleeping on a freeway.

The front staff were not welcoming at all (not one smile) and actually a little rude. The included “continental” breakfast was lovely and fresh but is indeed continental, just cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, pastries, toast/bagels but on the weekend was crowded and there was no food, no seats, no service to get juice that comes from the waiter. The mandatory $45 valet fee was not a fun surprise when it was advertised as free parking. No microwave in the rooms, they brought one up but it kept tripping the outlet so wouldn’t work. The sounds from the highway below was pretty loud. If you are not someone who can sleep through that, then you might want to forgo. Oh and the patio door is locked which didn’t bother me till I started thinking what if’s like a fire seeing there was also no sprinklers.

The rooms were clean and were very comfortable. The best part of this hotel is the staff. They were outstanding. Everyone I met was friendly and very helpful. I also ate at the restaurant at the top of the hotel, West. The bartender, Jay was wonderful. We talked while I ate at the bar. Definitely say hi and eat some great food.

Price is right. We loved the restaurant before they made it a breakfast buffet. The food now is mediocre at best. Food comes out slowly so people end up piling up waiting for certain dishes to be replenished. Bummer it’s not a pet friendly hotel.

The elevators were out of service one evening. The hotel only offers valet parking, which is overpriced. Breakfast is included and decent. Unfortunately, one of the Filipino servers at the location made unwelcoming remarks during breakfast. The location is convenient and well-positioned. However, if you have a car, I wouldn’t return to this hotel.
