I hope this finds you well. This is a note to notify you regarding a charge mistake.
I was checked out early, May 30, from the hotel.
I only stayed 2 nights, not 3 as originally planned.
I left the premises May 30, NOT May 31.
I was confirmed by the hotel upon arrival, AND upon the last day, May 30, as I was leaving and confirming the change, that, it would be ok to change the length of stay, and there would be NO penalty.
I was merely requested by Fairmont, on the premises ( as it was all OK on their end) to also confirm with EXPEDIA. Which I did and all was fine.
Expedia was also the same, very smooth process, quick changes, all confirmed One Night’s stay and pertaining fees accordingly, less on the final bill. Reflecting the shorter stay.
An absolutely amazing representative from EXPEDIA, I believe was XAVERIA, even called me after our chat, in person, to confirm.
to my surprise, arriving home, having just reviewed my CREDIT CARD bill, I was disappointed to find I was charged FULL, for the unused stay.
AND I was charged $200+ more than original FULL stay would have been. Nearly 1,600 USD
Original full stay would have been even less, 1,431.76 USD
This is unacceptable.
Please make the necessary adjustment, and refund the last day's stay and relevant fees and all charges immediately.
I am disappointed. I would prefer not to leave this in review, because this is not FAIRMONT level of experience.
