Innkeepers were friendly and helpful. We had a chalet which included a sitting area (with sofa, arm chair and gas fireplace) and kitchenette. The sleeping area was furnished with a four-poster bed and jacuzzi. Bathroom was modern, pristinely clean. Breakfast was available at an extra charge that was well worth it. Only downside was the fact that dinner is only served 4 days a week. That said, the innkeepers mage helpful recommendations for nearby places. I definitely recommend this place if you are in the area.

A stunning “find.” Beautifully designed and meticulously cared for. Our highest recommendation. The strolls down to the water, through the meadow were enchanting, calming and easy.

A family owned gem of a place
What a delightful stay! This 3rd generation family inn is located on the beautiful, quiet Northumberland Strait of Nova Scotia. The water is warmer there, the sand is solid and safe for wading or swimming. We stayed in a cabin with a kitchenette, expecting to make our own breakfasts. But after having breakfast there the first morning, we enjoyed it so much we decided to buy their delicious, homemade breakfasts every morning of our stay in their beautifully appointed dining room. We were there one evening when they served dinner and it was equally as delicious and lovely. If you are looking for a quiet, private spot with the option of either cook your own meals or enjoy their cooking, consider this place.

Beautiful and rather secluded location. Sadly they do not serve dinner except Thursday-Sunday, this means you need to drive 20-30 minutes for dinner on M/Tu/W. The breakfast was very good , but limited selection. The furniture in the chalets were old and cushions were uncomfortable.

Emplacement top au détriment du confort.
On ne peut pas tout avoir, Petit coin de nature avec un tres belle vue, par contre le logement est un peu désuet et ne correspond pas aux normes de confort actuelles. La vmc de la salle de bain fait un bruit épouvantable, une baignoire balnéo a été plantée devant le lit entre la chambre et le salon… L’accueil est mitigé, pas vraiment aimable ni vraiment désagréable. Très cher pour la prestation, ça ne vaut que la moitié à mon avis.

Lovely Inn
This is a quiet location and the views of the ocean are lovely. check-in was easy and pleasant. The room was in excellent condition for the age of the building. We would stay here again.

I’ve never posted a bad review, and I realize this might be out of their control….but There were literally DOZENS of mosquitoes in my room. I couldn’t fall asleep til 2am cause I had to try and get rid of them. And I still got bitten over and over all night long.

Large beautiful landscaped property. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Fresh baked scones and decadent desserts. The Digby scallops were cooked to perfection. Quiet room with a beautiful water view.

This is a charming place, wonderfully situated on a nearly private beach. Innkeepers are friendly but not invasive, rooms are carefully stocked with everything you could want and the food is scrumptious

Mary was great! Breakfast delicious! Beautiful property Only slightly negative comment: our bed (#6) was too soft for us.. or maybe mattress needed 180 degree turn. Felt like head was “downhill” Would stay again and hope to spend time outdoors in the garden or down by the sea.

5 Stars is not enough for this place. Stayed here on our way to Nova Scotia. Had dinner and breakfast there - both excellent. The view, the accommodations - everything was top notch.

Lovely Inn
Amherst Shore Country Inn is a lovely place to stay. Thirty minutes from Amherst, the inn is located on a beautiful piece of property that runs down to the waterfront. Great for short walks and ocean views. The meals at the Inn are delicious. Our room was not large but well appointed with a view of the water.

Accueil agréable, voire familial (uniquement en anglais !). Cadre (jardins et plage) très agréables, reposants. Attention les moustiques en fin de journée ! Petit déjeuner bien servi, comme à la maison. Par contre, pas de table d'hôte proposée contrairement au descriptif. Un petit resto super sympa et où l'on mange bien à env. 15 min en voiture (le "Chat bleu")

Great accommodations, with great views and lots of privacy. The room/suite we were in was huge with a full kitchen, full bath with shower, hot tub, satellite tv.. a little deck to sit on and watch the ocean etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We heard the food is great as well in the dining room but we had made other plans. Would highly recommend this place and would stay here again anytime.
