"It was relaxing to stay there. I enjoyed the fact that there was a full kitchen and dining area. I wish that we had thought to reserve a fishing boat for at least a half a day."

"I rented three rooms for two nights June 6 and 7th. Rooms 209, 211, 215.
One room the shower did not work. The key fob system was difficult to use and only one key fob per room. All the rooms lacked windows that opened and no screens were available. Air got quite stale and hot. Thermostats were hanging loose from the wall. The second day with fans it got somewhat better. The staff helped some. The hallways and room carpet were quite stained, dirty and old. The rooms were just marginal for the cost of the rooms.
We will not be returning to the Grand Marais MN Shoreline Hotel 218-387-2633. In the future. Anthony Segale 612-272-0010"
"The room was roomy and comfortable. It was perfect for resting after a day of hiking. The farmhouse style sink in the bathroom was perfect for rinsing dishes, filling water bottles and washing faces and hands. It is obvious a lot of thought was given to the design of the room. Our only interaction with staff was when they showed us a bear about 100 feet from our cabin as we walked back from the beach. On our next visit we will look at taking advantage of the kayaking opportunities offered at Bluefin for guests. There were plenty of supplies, towels, toilet paper, shampoo, etc. for the time we were there.
It is close to some great hiking like Pincushion Mountain and Cascade Falls. We enjoyed going into Grand Marais, which is close, for dinner as is the Cascade Lodge. We will definitely look at staying here again."
